Every time someone oretends this when it's not even a red pill philosophy. Red pill doesn't harp on looks past things you can improve that everyone rational agrees on - that you could improve your dating life by improving how you dress, getting a better haircut, showering if you need that advice, etc.

There's some criticism towards the red pill that it's pretending to hard that looks don't matter as nuch, actually. The red pill attitude was "no point in spending time obsessing about something you can't change" so it didn't spend a ton of time on looks that can't be changed.

Guys won't do this a lot of times because it would make them completely disfunction as an adult. Unable to get a job or hold a job, unable to engage in just surface level personality stuff that's necessary to interact with people.

I think this is a cycle.

1. Women obsessed with men who are emotionally absent or keep coming after them no matter the obstacles. Part of this is that women are lazy and sitting back and waiting for the guy to make it happen is the lowest effort route possible.

2. At some point it dawns on them that men like this just want sex then they disappear.

3. Their ego-protecting phrase to avoid any blame on their side is "used for sex". From their point of view if you remove the blame aspect it's logically rrue that these men's only interest is in sex. But the purpose is to remind themselves that if they don't want to only pump and dump the girl has to put some sort of effort into it and not sit back completely passively.

4. In the next phase the women who have gone through this use it as a shaming phrase to attack with. It's original meaning is somewhat irrelevant.

5. So at this point it's used to attack - both younger women who are doing the "no investment" thing - and also younger women who are trying to develop emotional attachment in a relationship.

6. So eventually younger women just snarkily appropriate the phrase "yup I'm being used for sex" to describe that thry're doing the same things the people shaming them for it were doing. This can either be "brainless go along with it" or "Yup I'm being used for sex, then used for love, then used for marriage, then used for kids, then used for a long term monogamous relationship...and I'm quite enjoying it".

This seems analagous to someone leaving cash at your house, you are required to return it to them if requested, but since they gave it to you it's not liability to have it.
