I have a tin foil hat theory just based on vibes and intuition that I formed from a silly tarot video I watched. That’s my disclaimer.

I do think there was a coup conducted by the members and their parents. They thought they needed to get rid of Manon to get Katseye to succeed but mostly to give their daughters more time to shine because Manon was the face of Katseye. There was enough hostile sentiment from some employees at HxG that could back them up (one example like the holiday question asking if her laziness was her best quality) and it was set up like a PIP talk. PIP is Performance Improvement Program that is like a nice way of your employer setting up a paper trail to justify firing you.

It would explain why the girls are acting so weird about Manon and why Sophia said it was not about race. They had some lingering resentment about her performance and someone or an event encouraged it to have the members / their parents coordinate her ousting.

I do agree they would not announce her leaving during a tour and it’s absolutely not fair to her that it’s the most sound business decision HxG could make. But it also doesn’t mean Manon hasn’t been trying to renegotiate her contract or have someone buy her out of it which could explain the spotty appearances until now. To further complicate things of course.

It doesn’t help that WILD is considered the worst era of Katseye so far and why people quickly shifted their attention to Adela. Even if it is commercially a success.
