One of the eye witnesses described him as stretching out his hands over the hood of the car. That seems consistent with the angle of the video. Imagine holding your phone to film something, then stretching out your arm while still holding your phone.

I’m not delusional. I don’t actually expect anyone to grant us asylum. But if things get as bad as we think it will, my hope is that some countries would do it.
Additionally, one person’s experience does not invalidate the experience of another. Me being harassed, tracked, and threatened by neo-Nazis and militias does not invalidate your wife’s experience of living in an occupied country. Similarly, your wife’s experience doesn’t invalidate the experience of someone from Afghanistan fleeing religious persecution, or a queer person fleeing Somalia because they fear for their life. It’s not a competition of whose suffering is worse.

You say that as if leaving is as easy as packing a suitcase and heading for the nearest airport. Many of us have wanted to leave for years and haven’t been able to, and we’re not asking for a free ride. People in this sub are usually just trying to learn what avenues are available to them, or see if there’s an option they haven’t previously considered. If you have a problem with that, then why are you here in this sub?
In the case of at-risk people like myself, we’re asking for the opportunity to live and work in a safer country (which would also involve becoming more familiar with EU politics and picking up languages). We’re also asking that some countries consider allowing us to apply for asylum if things get to that point. That would merely put us in the same category as refugees from other countries - not ahead nor below any of them.

The only thing potentially military-specific about that system is the term I used. I only mentioned the military because I don’t know whether that term is commonly used outside of the military. That system is ubiquitous in most work places regardless of whether it’s military or civilian, so it still very much applies.
Second, no one is saying OP can’t start a paper trail. In fact, documenting their communication with their supervisor is the very first step. Reaching out directly to the head of security instead of giving their supervisor a chance to do their job doesn’t benefit the situation in any way, not even from a paper trail perspective.

How so?

Don’t worry, they’ll still find some way to blame it on Democrats. The more religious among them will pin it on the gays and Planned Parenthood.

Book 2 & 3 are tied at the top for me. Book 4 is a close second. Book 1 is my least favorite
But most importantly - thank you so much for referring to them as Books instead of “seasons.” It’s a weird pet peeve of mine when people refer to them as seasons even though I know it’s not something worth getting annoyed over.
It makes him look worse to us. To people who are already convinced she was trying to run over him, they’ll read her smile as malicious. They’ll interpret the camera shakiness and “whoah” as him being intentionally rammed. They’ll look at the other person confronting him as trying to provoke him.
