Feel like there is a Simpsons treehouse of horror bit in there somewhere.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Are the patchnotes posted anywhere?

I mean there really isn't much to update is there? Shipments are going out, it's just a waiting game now. Nothing they say will get the bikes to us any faster.

What they did say was a relevant update that addresses some concerns we have seen from early deliveries. They address the problem, explain what they did to resolve, and communicated the impact to customers. Pretty solid update.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

I haven't gotten mine yet, so can't say.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

I think the only thing about the release that legitimately bothers me is the all-terrain package discrepancy.

They get an extra pair of pedals that can't be purchased from the gear shop, yet. It's also been unclear if it comes with additional software for Trail Modes that the Road version doesn't have.

It's making me regret getting the Road version because I feel locked out now. I get that it cost $200 more, but I would have paid it to have the flexibility.

To me they should not have sold two different versions. There shouldn't be a software difference between the two bikes. The all-terrain pedals should be avaliable on the gear shop or included with each bike. Really, the all-terrain should just come with an all-terrain tire installed vs the road one.

☝️

Edit: Think it's this one.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

They are what the Gators were in the late 2000's. A regional power.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

I was really looking forward to this update having some real info, disappointing.

Silver lining is that yes, they are communicating more. I think this vague update is a result of them getting bit after trying to give more detailed and specific dates but falling through. Seems like an overcorrection, but an understandable one.

Things take time, they are continuing as best they can. Hopefully next update will have more info.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Do they just do clear wraps? I really wanted to get a colored or patterned one.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Yea I only see turn-signal/brake light functionality mentioned off-hand in these articles. The official page only mentions a bluetooth connection with your phone.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Yea I'm familiar with it for media blackouts on reviews and stuff. I've just never heard of it for independent safety review. That would be like a car company suppressing highway safety ratings. Seems like a strange thing to do.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Such low-effort. Wouldn't be surprised if a bot scrubs social media then an AI writes it, even if someone cleans it up.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Is that a thing with safety-related reports? I have no idea.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Interesting, wonder if they are still writing up the report or something as I can't find it on the ranking list.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Thanks for the insights! Looking forward to the VT report with all the added weight of the electronics.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Man that is some insane personal service.

Here was a response I got from support regarding integration with fitness apps.

"We are working on integration with fitness apps and I can't guarantee those routes will show up on the navigation but I do know that our engineers designed the system to be ebike specific."

So integration compatibility is being considered in the design, but the level of integration was unclear. The last part I think refers to the built-in navigation being built for ebike routing. Read the tea leaves as you will.

I miss when they used to bring some of the military equipment out. Getting to sit in a Bradley and MLRS was always a highlight as a kid. I'm sure some people would prefer to keep military influence out of it, but it was what made Redstone's Oktoberfest standout.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

What a great game! Amazing pitching, clutch hitting. Great to see this team finally get to the peak. Way to go Trash Pandas!

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Yea, I get the impression that the AI handles initial stuff but is happy to hand it over to a person.

If the email responses are AI it's the best one I've seen so far.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

It's really reaffirming when you get the feeling they actually took time out of their day to read what you sent, understand it, and pass it to the relevant people if applicable.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

That's where I send everything. I've always heard back within a day, which is impressive given that I've provided substantial feedback.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

Speaking for myself I want a non-porous mat for every horizontal section, so yes to the cargo mat. For the footwells I'm interested in one that climbs up the side wall and slighlty overlaps the sill. I hate when rocks and junk sneaks between side of high-walled floor mats.

Remarkable_Rocketeer

My presumition was they would need full production capacity for the initial bike roll out. My hope was that after that spares would become avaliable.
