Thanks as always. Might be time for my 3rd reps of coral and turquoise OP41’s!

Probably have asked you before, but how does the VSF gloss of the dial compare to gen on red (or turquoise)? I know gen is lacquered dials, and none of my coral or turquoise reps really replicate that right so far.

Disagree, but upvote for a reasonable opinion. Chunky is due to the complicated movement, right? Not sure bling doesn't belong on bigger watches. Maybe you just prefer sporty to blingy? Seems that's most Rolex buyers based on what's most popular.

How’s the blue of the dials? I have a few other non ZF reps of this, and never felt like the blue was right.

Are the cases same perfectly same 42mm? One on right looks smaller, but that’s just perspective?

That was me at my AD, got whatever I wanted, and then it closed. And having zero luck getting a foothold anywhere else. Jewelry is so overpriced at AD’s that it’s not worth buying anything at them just for a chance. When we need a jewelry repair we’ll use the AD, but don’t think that’s ever going to add up to getting me anything hard to get.

But people do get them from the AD? You did?

What’s the secret for us normies besides pick a not impossible watch? Only buy stuff we don’t want and hope? (I’d go grey first.) The advice I always see is build a relationship. I’ve tried that. Gets me nowhere.

I was able to buy watches pre 2020 without ever hearing about a list. I have a lot of AD’s where I live, and sure there’s a range in how they treat me, but zero have sold me a watch, so might as well all be saying fuck you to me.

Any opinions on dial or crystal? Don’t really care about case/bracelet accuracy. Just want the accurate dial, and to be able to see it clearly on this one.

Flippers have tens of thousands of watches for sale. You think they bought none direct from the AD?

I agree with the analysis. I got a friend interested in watches, and he somehow got a Sprite his first visit to AD. Right after release when impossible to get. Didn’t explain, but also bought his wife jewelry that visit. And I think later mentioned that his in-laws are longtime customers there.

That tiny % that is getting lucky, if they exist, are giving me and everyone false hope. Makes me go in AD and ask when I pass by. Cause never know? But I do know. Those lucky people are leading me to waste my time!
