I have a battery grip on my camera at all times.

I think our current generation of technology is topping out. They are at the physical limits of what's possible to manufacture when it comes to some computer chips. We have light speed communication networks already set up. I think they are hitting hard limits and can see that their industry is going to hit a wall at some point pretty soon in that they won't be able to make new technology only replace what's already out there.

It would be a good excuse to create a new kind of computing product. One where the physical hardware is hidden from the user. That hardware doesn't need to get better, but they would have regular maintenance plans were hardware gets routinely swapped out at regular intervals.

The data centres would come up with a deal where they promise to replace hardware at a consistent rate and pass the cost onto the end user.

Don't you need to be using a streaming service to hear ai stuff? I am still playing mp3s using vlc player on my phone when I'm in the car I've never used Spotify or the likes so I don't get ai stuff pushed on me.

RevTurk

That's awful.

Google: What is a quarter zip?

RevTurk

They don't know we're vampires though. We're just a weird ape that hangs around feeding and helping them. By the time they realise what's going on they are seconds away from death.

RevTurk

So you don't care where politicians get their money from? You don't think that taking millions from companies and individuals has any affect on their loyalties?

RevTurk

Fine, keep going the way your going. Let your politicians work for the 1%. This is why the world can't trust you anymore. You just don't care enough about how your country is run. Trump is just a symptom and you have no desire to fix the disease.

RevTurk

I'm not American. By global standards the US doesn't have a left wing party.

Yes, compared to republicans democrats are a better option. Compared to political parties around the world they wouldn't make it to government before they got arrested for corruption. I don't get why people are so eger to defend their representives being allowed to take millions from the people actively trying to erode the rights of all Americans.

You have politicians saying how much of a problem climate change is while taking back handers from the oil industry.

RevTurk

I got the Core one+. I think it was €1400 all in. It's not cheap but in the grand scale of business expenses it's small. The previous month we had spent €110,000 on one machine.

RevTurk

OK, Bill Clinton and him selling access to himself when he was president.

John Edwards Scandal.

There are a lot of scandals when it comes to where they get their money from.

RevTurk

Yes trump is the worst one yet. It's so odd talking to Americans about this stuff because you all just keep repeating tag lines and sound bites as if that ends the argument.

Saying "both side" doesn't mean that US politicians shouldn't be let take in money from lobbyists with agendas that fly in the face of public needs.

You don't have much of a choice, it's the fascists or the lap dogs of the elites. As long as they take money from lobbyists they aren't working for you, all they are doing is putting op a show.

You should all make it an election issue to stop them from taking lobbyist money.

Helping companies over throw governments and destroy labour laws in other countries so that those companies can exploit the local resources of that country for higher profits.

Trump is also corrupt, he's the inevitable consequence of the way American politics has been going for the last 50 years.

RevTurk

American fruit companies in south America got support from every government the US had at the time. They destroyed countries for profit. You invaded numerous countries under false pretences and it was done by both Republicans and democrats.

I'm not American, I see America as one organisation. You are trying to point blame at different Americans but that doesn't work on the global stage, you are all Americans and you are all responsible for the actions of your democratically elected government that you fund with your taxes.

RevTurk

All over where? What are you on about?

The entire America pollical system has been bought by elites and industries. That's a fact, it's what the US political system is famous for all over the world. Russia pointing that out doesn't make it untrue.

RevTurk

Yes, the American pollical system is considered a joke in most of the world.

RevTurk

They do, most European countries have all sorts of supports for small and new businesses. In Ireland we have a national enterprise board and a local enterprise board. We just got a grant to buy a new machine and have multiple grants on the go for developing a new product. We even get support exporting.

RevTurk

I'm not American by the way, I have no skin in the game.

RevTurk

It's not Russia fault that the Us has had decades of corruption. Americans are like absentee landlords letting the elite class walk all over them.

That the Russians have also noticed that and use it against you doesn't make it untrue.

RevTurk

Pointing out that American politicians on both sides are bought and paid for in ways that are illegal in most democracies isnt an endorsement of the republican party.

RevTurk

The problem for Americans is the democrats are obliged to the same masters. They won't undo everything trump did because plenty of them are probably benefiting, Trump did the dirty work of the billionaires now the rest of them will sit back and reap the rewards.

RevTurk

We bought a 3D printer for our business for the first time and went with Prusa. One of the main deciding factors was the fact it is a European business, manufactured in Europe with European support structures if anything goes wrong.

Customer support is a vital part of the equation.

I do generally think it's important to buy European, we are in a fight to the death for our industries.

This is my first 3D Printer (core one+) and I don't really know how much easier they could make it? So if I am ever in the market for another one, being easier to use won't really be a high concern for me.

RevTurk

Your pc is now an appreciating asset which has never really been the case before.

RevTurk

That's not really a fair statement. They don't have gravity in her dimension.

RevTurk

They were never going to make an effort. Before Ai it was a generic all purpose ad with a blank space to ad text, or straight up clip art. Local GAA clubs were never hiring graphic designers to make an insert for the local parish newsletter.

RevTurk

Yes, obviously it opens the shutter of any camera shop so you can get more gear. It gets used a lot in cosmopolitan cities like Paris.
