the narrative that people from john’s creek, alpharetta, drive down to the beltline/edgewood/wherever and “raise hell” is…just false.  i always wonder when I see these takes - have they been to john’s creek or alpharetta?  they go to the avalon.  or to roswell bars.

they would benefit in the same way i would from lack of construction

it really doesn’t matter what i think, it will be built or it won’t be.  my 2 cents are worth a lot less than 2 cents.

browns mill and atlanta donuts are some absolute gems.  prayers up that broader cleveland ave can get it together.  this is not the answer.  it’s smack dab in the middle of cleveland ave and basically signals “yeah we gave up on this area”.

as a sales engineer, I have recorded a 1-2.5 minute demo as a “hook” for my rep to try to get them in the room for a longer call.  this was mainly a thing in SMB/commercial space.  

when I moved up to enterprise, if the rep doesn’t have the juice (yet) to get them to join an hour long demo with me, they aren’t gonna buy.  to that end, I haven’t done it since moving upmarket.  

I do think in SMB where you’re giving a demo then they buy or maybe quick quick PoV - a DEMO video can make sense.  But an intro video just as a “get to know you” or something is stupid

NYC is still the “chase your dreams” city for any American kid.  I think regionally you have cities that attract those types too.  Southeast or for black folks is ATL, for florida kids and hispanics could be miami, for texans it’s Dallas.  

I wanted to move to ATL since I was a kid.  It was a dreamer type move….but not because I could get “rich and famous” in the vein of someone who moved to NYC or LA.  More for the reason you suggested - a concentrated calculus on job opportunities, proximity to home, and culture

felt like rachaad white kinda started taking over here.  i own both in dynasty and just bill in another - but bill may lose grip if rachaad is the one who is able to make big plays happen.

ya if i was dating in my 20s or even 30s i would not live in peachtree corners.  i have friends out there who also struggle a bit.  i think ITP (specifically City of Atlanta) dating prospects are a lot better.
