I think the blackout (not just reddit of course) managed to puncture the Washington bubble. I don't think a lot of these representatives knew how much opposition there was to these bills until today. We will continue to see elected officials shift to opposition ahead of the votes. I work in politics and I can safely say that there was more chatter about this than any other legislation in recent memory, and it was ALL negative.

Opposing something you oppose does not make her sane. That's the logic that has people thinking Ron Paul would be a good President.
