Late to the thread but I don’t see anyone mentioning Voltorb Flip from pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver. Fun little minesweeper like mini game.

I think everyone else has blocked this out of their memories because I don’t know why I don’t see this brought up more often. I’d say 80% of decks on ladder were just straight up Runick stun. Barrier statues, pachy, inspector boarder, literally just every floodgate ever.

They even did a duelist cup right after the release. I played pure live twin with ash, ghost belle, ogre, droll, cosmic, just anything to try and shut down fountain. Absolute miserable time and I genuinely think it was the least fun time to play and everyone else has blocked it out of their memories

I love Runick combo decks but no one was playing them, just Runick stun and crazy combo decks trying to make nuts endboards to make sure Runick had no way to claw their way back into the game.
