I would go as far to say Opus 4.5 > anything, but First edition of Fable 5

I use it together with Serena MCP and letbit work with Opus/Sonnet agents (recently added Deepseek via API and codex via codec plugin for Claude Code). The sparrings are amazing since the two other add real value in review rounds whether it’s planning, configs or coding. Fable 5 is definately burning tokens but nothing as compared to a pure Fable session

I use it for reviewing with Opus 4.8 and ir does a wonderful job flagging things Opus sometimes misses.

Where are you getting it from, and did ypu try 4.5 too?

The most important thing IMO for non-US users would be to never rely 100% on any US stack anymore since the killswitch can be flipped at any time, whether political, technical etc and if you don’t have any alternative you’re done :)

Relax everyone this is the exact pattern we have seen since end of 2024, it’s a cycle pattern almost predictable. Just make sure to make enough noise so the companies understand this and always try to jump to opensource models either via Openrouter or locally hosted…

Welcome to the hamsterwheel of SOTA commercial models, first month of new releases is INSANE! 2nd months things start to get shaky, 3-4 months in and we all are swearing to BOYcutt these companies for life, and then the next model is releases and we start all over 😅 Been part of the hamsterwheel since Sonnet 3.7 and people from before that can definately also confirm!

Congrats on the role! Generally in IT and many other fields in DK it’s absolutely okay to ditch the office earlier and take the rest of the remaining time from home. Just have your manager give you okay for it, shouldn’t be a problem at all
