Actually causes the opposite. Can cause high calcium. 8.1 is totally fine and depending on what your albumin is, it’ll correct to a normal calcium. It’s pretty common to have low calcium however

As long as you’re voiding fine and aren’t having excruciating abdominal pain you’ll be fine. The bladder is stronger than you think. Watch it for a few days and if it doesn’t get better, see your pcp for a possible scan.

The program didn’t rank you unfortunately

This is what I heard: pick a prelim surgery spot with high number of vacancies remaining to maximize your chances. The more rural the higher your chances

I did Rx during my first year. It’s def trash tier compared to the other resources. You want uworld all the way. Id rather do 3 passes of uworld than one pass of rx. Trust me. Uworld is like driving a lambo vs the corolla you’re using now
Keep in mind that you need to use uworld as a study guide rather than a predictor to see how you’re doing. Yeah it’s nice if you know the question bc you did rx but that’s not the point. It’s the info and the learning you get from uworld that makes it super worth it.

Try r/askdocs

There are certain characteristics on ultrasound that you can see to help distinguish between a cyst and a cancer.
The larger the cyst, the larger the chance of cyst rupture or ovarian torsion, both of which are medical emergencies that require immediate surgery. So that’s why she probably recommended it to be removed.
Assuming your other ovary is healthy, you can still get pregnant.

Yes typically if you’re allergic to one drug you’ll have allergies to the other ones in the same class. I’d follow up with his PCP but to answer your question, yes there’s other medicine for heart failure
RollingNinjas
What’s your allergy? And yes there is another class called ACE inhibitors
RollingNinjas
Yes it’s ok to go to the ER

It’s high. You want it lower. Taking blood pressure once is only a snapshot. Many things could’ve caused an elevated BP. That’s why taking regular blood pressure measurements at home is important because you can establish an average that way.
RollingNinjas
It’s definitely elevated. Getting his BP meds adjusted is definitely a start. The biggest part he can do for himself is taking his medicines everyday and work on life style changes. Evaluate if he can exercise more or eat healthier (reducing his salt intake is big). Additionally stress can also cause elevated BPs so making sure he’s ok in that regard. Last thing is to keep a BP log. Ideally he’d check his BP once a day and write them down to bring to his PCP during his next visit.

Dang where was this two years ago

Try more frequent body wash
RollingNinjas
Likely normal if it’s not on the stool itself. Could be from hemorrhoids or just trauma from wiping
RollingNinjas
Likely a form of heat rash. Used to have it when I was around your age. Goes away with consistent daily showers and eventually just goes away with time.

Go to see an ophthalmologist. A large blind spot/loss of your visual field is not normal and not due to eye strain from computer use
RollingNinjas
Long term = uncontrolled and for many many years. You can go to your PCP to get evaluated for it

Nothing to be worried about. They’re immature cells in your body. Everyone will have a variety of outliers on these panels. The important labs (HGB, WBC, and PLT) are all normal.

There can be menstrual changes associated with spironolactone. See if the doctor who’s prescribing it can put you on a diff medication and see if that changes things. It’s less likely however given that you’ve been on it for years and have been asymptomatic.
Usually hormones (FSH, Thyroid, and Prolactin) are checked first but sounds like those are normal.
RollingNinjas
Could still very likely be. The test itself isnt a very good negative predictor. I would try the stretches and see if that relieves it. If not then see a PCP in person who can do a thorough physical exam

Do they hurt in both feet? Where in the sole is the pain located? Is the pain especially present in the morning when you wake up? Have you recently started running?
Sounds like plantar fasciitis to me. You could do a windlass test (keep your foot straight and using your fingers, bend the big toe towards yourself). If that recreates the pain it’s likely it. You can do feet stretches and Tylenol. Keep in mind that it’ll be a while for it to heal

Having sex puts the woman at increased risk of developing it

If you don’t have any symptoms then nothing. Bacterial vaginosis isn’t really an STD. It’s really more of an imbalance of bacteria in the vaginal tract in women.
Those WBCs are negligible. Assuming a microgen is a urine culture, it’s likely contaminated and not a clean sample. Additionally, unless you’re pregnant, we typically don’t treat asymptomatic UTIs (assuming you’re not symptomatic)
