When you don’t understand what it did, or why.

RotationSurgeon

I had one who liked to chew up sweet gum balls…thankfully she nor my current beagle like/d acorns because now I have a yard with a bunch of oaks, and they’re everywhere.

RotationSurgeon

Everywhere I’ve worked, any equipment provided by the company was solely for use in the execution of your duties. Personal use is usually a firable offense.

RotationSurgeon

I prefer forests and mountains, so I tend to prefer Appalachia, the PNW, and Alaska.

It’s a “dirty little secret,” that WayMo vehicles ultimately have people sitting in a Philippine call center directing them remotely when needed. (As of earlier this year, 70 on-duty operators across a fleet of 3,000+ mostly-autonomous vehicles)

Disadvantage would probably be preferable, as it would at least guarantee rolling two dice.

RotationSurgeon

Do sorcerers, anybody using circle magic for distance, anybody with the Spell Sniper feat, anbody with the Sharpshooter feat, or anybody using a ranged weapon at long distance in general ALSO have to roll perception checks before a long range attack?

The rules agree with you that some pea soup is more opaque than other pea soup.

RotationSurgeon

That’s a problem that’s fixable with a wall. Or a thin curtain.or some trees.

When our party necromancer brings minions to un-life, they look like the corpses of whatever they started as, but after whatever we did to them to make them corpses.

Sometimes they’re wonky. Sometimes they’re charred. Sometimes they’re…well, let’s just say some of them don’t last long seeing as they sometimes tend to start their turns inside lingering AOE spells.

The fact that we expect that the only people to readily survive a disaster reasonably will be those who happen to have some strips of paper, cloth, or plastic in their pocket says a lot about where society is right now.

RotationSurgeon

IDK if they’re still in circulation, but when I lived in southern Sweden for a bit (mid-late 00’s), I constantly had a pocket full of 50 öre coins that I couldn’t do anything with.

For the US readers, that was ½ of a 1 Swedish Crown / Svensk Kroner, which made it worth about 3-4¢ at the time.

RotationSurgeon

There’s a sentiment of “when shit hits the fan, only cash will work!” present in many in the US as well. I question it. If things are so bad that all digital payments are completely down for an extended period, things have probably already reached a point where fiat currency is worthless.

There are 999,000,000 different ways to be a millionaire.

RotationSurgeon

Yes. I know multiple millionaires. Most of them live absolutely middle-class lives. They have enough money to not worry, but not enough to squander.

RotationSurgeon

Whatever you say, officer. I prefer yellow, followed by aquamarine…the Mexican one.

“If you have a shelter and a fire, and leave the fire to find food and water, you may not have a shelter when you return, and too much fire.” My old scout leader.

At the very least, dehydrate them and then wet them as needed. The thing with backpacking gear is that once you reach the point that you’re down to only the gear you need, the only way to drop weight is swapping to lighter versions of that gear.

RotationSurgeon

At our current level, usually around 6 rounds at about 10-15 minutes per round. (We have 5 players)

RotationSurgeon

No. If that’s the type of game your table wants, that’s 100% ok. Just keep in mind that others prefer adhering to the rules more strictly, or want a different experience. Nobody’s wrong.

RotationSurgeon

Dolly or handtruck. Southeastern US, Appalachian roots.

You might get some compliments, or some jeers about the fur, but aside from that, it'd just be another person wearing a hat, especially in a cold area, or a large city.

I have mixed feelings about mine. It just always seems that unless it’s a flagship product, any Android device just feels clunky…The picture’s great though, and I love the built-in gaming/motion sickness reticle.
