Yeah, there plenty of people who try to manipulate mods, but the vast majority are just people who posted in a recommended sub and didn't read the rules because they didn't raise they were in a new sub. Plus when someone gets banned on an alt, that sub still gets pushed on them on a new account, and commenting(which is given zero warning) nukes their account

The things you're missing is happiness. You know how when you smile, the muscle over your cheek bones goes up... When you're happy, that muscle tends to be tighter(up) even if you're not smiling. It's a micro expression that make everyone look more pleasing. It's why people who fake smile for pictures don't look natural a lot of times, they don't smile with their cheeks/eyes.

I'm recently sober, and life is pretty rough at the moment, but I'm still kickin.. Happiness seems so hard to obtain sometimes.... But literally so and smell flowers and enjoy nature. Walk through your neighborhood, to a local park, or wherever and smell every flower you pass (without trespassing). Then just sit and enjoy the birds and squirrels and stuff.

I just read a thing about how people who regularly hear 6+ bird songs have better mental well-being (Google "bird song makes people happy" and you should get results) Bird watching also is good for memory and focus and all kinds of things! Once I have a car again, I'm going to start birdwatching 🙂 If you're somewhere near Sacramento, CA I'd be happy to learn birdwatching with you (platonically, I'm not gonna be weird)

From what I've seen of this sub, the focus is mainly recreational use. I'm not a regular on this sub though, so perhaps I've just caught it at times where rec use posts are more common than therapeutic.

The comments felt more like they were trying to poke holes in my story than not understanding the question - but again, I may be incorrect.

The conversion charts are all 6:1 ratio, but there is controversy over large doses.

I'm trying to understand if this is a smart transition or not. Lyrica got my attention because it's onset is significantly quicker, and I use gabapentin and now pregabalin for anxiety. My anxiety is always it's worst upon waking in the morning, so the lengthy onset is not great.

I also like to abuse the prescription though, and to do so, I need very high amounts. I reckon I'd need at least 600mg, which is sketch zone, as you stated.

My psychiatrist was hesitant on starting at a true 6:1 dose, so I'm on a week at 75mg 3-4x daily, then revisiting.

I guess what I really am trying to figure out is if the transition is worth it.

From what my primary care told me, gabapentin sticks around long enough to have therapeutic effects through the following morning, so on the therapeutic side, it might keep my baseline anxiety lower - but has the longer onset in the mornings. I do not know if pregabalin sticks around long enough to provide that little bit of assistance the following morning, or if my Dr even really knows what she's talking about. My psychiatrist almost seems like he's never prescribed either before and is reading up on it to learn as we go.

They essentially have the same half-life, but pregabalin's duration is quite a bit longer..

Neither Dr seems to be very knowledgeable when it comes to using these drugs for anxiety, and obviously I can't ask them about abusing.
