So after a 12 hour night shift 7pm to 7am and having 8 hours at home before I go back to work (in which I have to eat, shower and sleep) I should get 2x30mins for body & soul. Fuck off.

The only possibility I could imagine hills can save you money is if you can charge free at work and your work lies on a mountain. You charge to 100% at home and arrive with 10% at work. You charge the 90% for free at work and drive home and arrive with 60%. You only pay for 40% of your battery capacity instead of 65ish% on flat surface or 90% if you house is on the hill.

In theory true. But you have to count in the reaction of companies and the market itself to this theory or perception.

Many people see price as a measurement for quality. So, of course, some companies use this to offer the same product with minimal changes or a low quality item for a higher price, appealing to the folks with more money or people who blindly belief expensive = better.

So there is a chance that you buy expensive and still get crappy quality.

Before, there was no way to tell if a product is really good, except you knew somebody who also possessed the item. Later online reviews became popular; they made sure everybody could find out if their desired item was good or bad.

Well, the reaction to that are paid fake ratings and reviews, making generic online reviews essentially useless.

Don't forget: If the circumstances change, the market will change accordingly.
