There's no games there actually. Just Linux isos

Ok, but what happen to the lights when you're "in the mood" wearing the wristband?
RushTfe
Exactly my thought, had to Google it because I didn't remember anything about a submersible titan imploding, the person in the video didn't help too, and then I was like aaaaaaaah that titan

Firefox+ublock and you're done
RushTfe
Well, if that's true, that's a people problem, not a tool problem. Guess IDES made people dumber too, and lints, and probably compilers too
RushTfe
Well, as absolutely every tool out there, call it a LLM or a hammer
RushTfe
Of course, and as with any other tool, llm is a beautiful tool to learn new stuff. As far as you read the docs for whatever you're using, an llm is a very good way to introduce you to new stuff you didn't know before, ask for a good resume on the library, and have a good start point to read docs online.
Not everything is black and white. Use the tools you have for the correct work and they will do wonders. "add more llm" doesn't have to be despective. Asking a llm to explain something you don't quite understand is not a bad idea as far as you look for the docs later. It's exactly the same that happened with Wikipedia in the past. People said "I read it on the Wikipedia" as if it was the source of truth. The problem is not people reading the Wikipedia, or people asking a llm. The problem is people assuming the easiest info to get is correct without contrasting that information.

Another good idea is opening a new chat / session, and ask it to review the script too. I still prefer to review it myself, but as a second opinion is very good when things are a bit more difficult.

My whole life I wanted to have the best gpu, but never was able to have one, first because I was a kid, then because I was starting to work for nothing, then because I had the money but couldn't afford it without compromising my life. And finally the 5090 was released. I had the money, and at that moment it wasn't such a compromising buy. Impulsive yeah, but it was the moment, and bought it.
Well I don't have the time to play as much as I would like, but that gpu is my little treasure, and I damn enjoy it whenever I want to play something.
I won't sell it unless I REALLY need the money. You can call me stupid for not selling something I bought for 2300e that I could sell easy for twice what I invested. But I don't care. If I sell, what will I buy? I won't be able to have the best gpu in the market and push every game as far as I want to enjoy it.
I also use it for vr, which can be really demanding. And yeah, as a developer, running a local model for some tasks or just learning is a big plus.
Sorry, but I love my 5090 more than my girlfriend, and I would sell her before selling my gpu (hope she's not reading this!).
(obvious joke that last paragraph, for the lost ones)

Instead asking the llm to do the stuff, You ask the llm to create an script to do the very specific task you need. You review the script, make sure it doesn't delete any stuff and move stuff where you need. Then you execute the script. And then delete it afterwards because, there won't be any other use for such a specific tool, with names and folders hardcoded
Llms are very good writing oddly specific tools that we may have not written before because it would have taken a lot of time. No way I let an llm fiddle through my computer stuff. If it needs to do something in my files, write a bash or python script I can read and validate.

I was thinking exactly the same. At the point of the window I thought... Well, my phone can do that, maybe it's someone in another plane taking the video, some kind of camera ad, with two planes flying one next to the other, but nope. I was disappointed
RushTfe
Perfect, now you got neck pain looking for the white point across all the space lol
RushTfe
Makes me crazy that they need a teaser for something that lasts 20s
RushTfe
That's why you don't use a llm for a deterministic job. Llms are an awesome tool. bulldozers are too, but you don't use them to hang a picture on your wall. They theoretically can, but you shouldn't. Chances are you will fuck up.
And one more thing a little bit unrelated. For every job AI does wrong, full responsibility is for the developer, not for the tool. That's why developers are still needed for developing even when Ai does most of the job. You can't tell your boss "claude screwed it". No sir, YOU screwed it.
RushTfe
It has to start somewhere though. Same thing happened to decomps. One day it was 3fps, next week was 30fps, and few days later, we had fully playable game. I think it's interesting enough at the pace things are going right now

Docker here, around 5 active users, 0 complains

I don't have anything to show. You're the one saying he vibecoded the whole thing without any proof. He may have done it or may not. But at least he said he used Ai. And again, if he vibecoded the whole app, what's the problem? Terribly optimized and buggy apps existed since we can install stuff on our pcs. At least now we can have huge boosts on development that wouldn't be possible at the pace we're experiencing without Ai.

Awareness on something the author points on the very first line of his post

No, that's a lie. Going fully digital will NOT make games more accessible. It's exactly the opposite way, because for a closed system like a console, you'll only have ONE AND ONLY ONE shop to buy from, at the price they want.
With disks, you could buy your game at many shop, each can have a different price or discount. Some of them even accepted old games to discount a few euros/dollars. Not to mention that you could always buy a used game for much, much less.
Going only digital, all prices are on the owners control, and if they want to price a game for 80e for 6 years, they will do it, because they won't have anyone else selling it. And if you want to play the game, you'll have to pay the full price. Today or in 5 years.
The only way it could be somewhat acceptable is, if Sony allows more shops on their system, like the pc model with steam, gog, Microsoft store, epic, ubisoft, ea, etc... and each with their own prices. But, I don't think we'll live to see it happen
RushTfe
Yeah. And planes are destructive too. People are dying in mines so you can type on your phone. And cloth industry is also destroying the world. And other non ai servers too. Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter, Google etc... Needed to cool their servers way before Ai using water, a lot, too.
You know what? Stop using software. I am a software developer for a big, big company with 10 years of experience. And AI is well over the place, we don't write code anymore, everything is "vibecoded" because we're asked to do it. Same with almost every other big company out there. Like probably reddit, and here you are writing here in a vibecoded app and server.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Ai came to stay, and if you're using your computer, chances are that you're using a vibecoded software.
Hopefully it will improve and use less resources, but it is what it is now, and there's no way to avoid it unless you start living under a rock
RushTfe
No I haven't tried it, but if it doesn't work for you, just uninstall it and don't touch it again. I mean, it's exactly the same as before Ai. People have downloaded and installed buggy software way before Ai went mainstream
RushTfe
And? Someone, on its free time, created something using Ai (partially or fully) and shared so others can benefit from it. Who cares if it's vibecoded or not? As far as it works correctly and it's not accessing stuff it shouldn't I'm OK with it.
For people who cares that's vibecoded, well, don't use it. It's not like the author is hiding it to the world
RushTfe
Yeah I think op is being sarcastic here. Basically because that's the way they're extracting games until now, and as you said in your edit, the important thing are the keys to decrypt, you do nothing with the encrypted file. Gta will be released with a new os update with different keys, that's why we won't have gta until a jailbreak releases for the gta os version.
Arch is not easy to setup for a Linux newbie. Cachy os (which is an arch base distro) is
