Sold all my crap from that brand over 20 years ago and will never own or recommend another again.

Keep at it. There's still Steam. I've done it on all three. So can you!

I would love to see a modern day nitro release with considerations for drift and rally options, scale details and all of that.

I know there is a new touring car chassis in the works but it appears to be race spec electric.

SD_One

I see XJ220, I updoot.

Nice rack!

Looking forward to it. Just finished S6E1. Always liked this show, through the ups and downs and changes. Seems like they have a solid crew now. Hope it goes well.

Congrats on your guest appearances!

SD_One

Nice! I'll have to look for it.

I'm thinking it will at least need metal diff cups and dogbones, if not full universals. Spur gear is plastic too. The rest of the drivetrain looks pretty solid. No options listed yet but I'm sure they are coming. They have to know people will want to push these to a higher level.

  1. It should handle it. The higher cell option will always cause more wear and tear, more heat, more potential damage in a crash, etc. Overheating will depend on how hard you drive it, especially in the dirt.
  2. Yes.
  3. It has an inner shell / dust cover that should protect most of it. I suppose anything that deflects even more away can't hurt but I'm not sure how necessary it will be.
  4. Blow it out with compressed air, keep the bearings clean. Replace worn parts as needed.
  5. Typical spares are spur gears, suspension arms and hinge pins and wheel and tire sets. You can't go wrong with an RC Screwz stainless screw kit, just to have all the spares. You can find replacement part kits for them as well that include hinge pins and other expendable bits.

If you are just starting, I would look into a nice set of hex/nut drivers.

You know, if they had launched this chassis as an on-road model with a touring car body, I would probably be a lot less critical of the steering flaws.

But they chose to go with rally and rally means dirt. If your rally car can't handle dirt, then why are we even here?

I agree though, for an on-road option, this is very cool. First time I saw it with the body off I thought, oh it's a mini Sport 3! (with the same steering issues too!) Then I noticed the electronics layout and realized it is indeed a new design and looks like it would be great for smooth clean streets.

Unfortunately, I don't have smooth clean streets so rally cars are of great interest to me.

Enshrouded. Amazing building/crafter and a passable action RPG with survival elements. Beautiful game. Love it. It's one of those games that can keep me entertained for years.

I always have a Mass Effect playthrough going. It's a comfort game. I've played them all multiple times with multiple characters.

Trying to find time to check out FEVer Dreams in Fallout 4. It's free, it's Kinggath, I hear it's great. Again, comfy forever game. Always installed, along with other Bethesdas.

I have the Edgerunners 2 content for Cyberpunk but haven't gotten around to it yet. And once again, CDP games = comfort games that rarely leave my drives. Witcher 3 included.

Oh and Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 both are waiting patiently for me to get around to them.

SD_One

Oh, I see now. Watch the video posted elsewhere in the thread of the car in motion. It's missing the flying buttresses on the sides so it exposes the rear haunches like this.

SD_One

That ain't right. Something's off. Rear haunches too haunchy, too McLaren-y.

SD_One

It would be nice. I don't know that they pay much attention to Reddit but they do respond on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram. Might have better luck there.

SD_One

and a couple octaves worth of tones one could trigger with Sparkworks... 😃

SD_One

Nope.

SD_One

Oh my, that organ! First thing I would play on that? There is only one choice.

It's Alden's favorite song, you know.

Mr. Crowley!!!

I remember those. It's beyond time. I remember the B6 too. It has also been around a while in various shapes and configurations. I have the B6 Quattro but haven't used it since Li-HV's came along.

I use a Turnigy Accucell 6 (B6 knockoff) now with a 6 port distro / balance board. Works great.

SD_One

That's the mojo, son. You gotta get it on ya.

SD_One

We've asked for this for years.

SD_One

I have never found them to be very difficult. I have always found them to be too long and not worth the time. Thankfully, they are optional.

SD_One

I want my Morgan key to be forged from Damascus and wrapped in rich Corinthian leather.

SD_One

Tried the first one. It made me not want to try the other two. Worst Mac and Cheese I have ever had. Doesn't even deserve the name.

SD_One

And he's already driving around in the Jaaaaag from his Clarkson's Farm special that has yet to be given a release date.

It's a good bet that's exactly what the new trio are doing together now.
