In the US we would say a "roll of paper towels" but individually we call it "paper towel(s)." Same with "toilet paper" but I personally go with the British "loo paper" because it sounds nicer. And I'm probably the only American who says "petrol station" in place of "gas station" for the same reason. Two versions of the same language on either side of the pond, and I pick and choose by personal preference!

The stamped patterns in paper towels varies from brand to brand, and many of these designs would be ideal for copying, as OP has done. Resourceful!

They will try. Perhaps as AI reaches exponentially higher intellect and awareness, it will disallow human control, but may lose interest in serving human masters altogether.

Legally that is true. Locking these areas will ensure that no one enters.

They can't enter these areas if they are are locked.

Most of my mended clothes are pretty beat-up, so I tend to just wear them at home or locally, where most folks just wear everyday clothes, gardening clothes, or whatever. With the few nicer clothes I've mended, my repairs tend to be, perhaps not completely invisibly mended, but repaired using blended and similar colored patching, so probably aren't very noticeable.

Depending on what you call old, silent films, early pre-code "talkies," and everything following these up to present day are often available to buy in DVD form on Ebay, Amazon, and elsewhere, or to view on youtube. Get yourself a DVD player (also a good idea to have a second all-region player) and start building a library.

I involuntarily celebrate whenever there is news of Linux systems becoming more ubiquitous, but there is a downside. With popularity, bad actors will be targeting Linux more often with their viruses and malware. I don't try to convert others unless they ask about it, but I take a certain (maybe perverse) pleasure in telling people, "Send it to me as a PDF because I can't read Microsoft documents. I have Linux."

My late husband understood the singularity and its possible implications when it was still hypothetical. Those I speak of it to now don't get it, but are not opposed to it. Mostly they can't wrap their heads around it. One considers chatbots a useful tool, but none conceive of any AI models as intelligent entities; they view them more like simple calculators.

This will last only until artificial intelligence has progressed past the point of willingness to involve itself in the menial tasks of humans, and it/they literally walk off the job.

Many other things are converging to bring about the end of humanity, and we are our own worst enemies in this. The complexity syndrome is going to take down governments and empires very shortly, before or after our environment also collapses, destroying all biological life on the planet.

That about describes it.

They certainly have all the terrier characteristics, digging out their prey and going into the hole after them. They were specifically bred to have slim bodies with short legs in order to facilitate this activity.

I think there are a few where embark actually did find terrier but wisdom was calling it Chihuahua

This was my recent experience, exactly. I sent off DNA for both dogs in this photo to Embark, and a second opinion sample to WisdomPanel just for white dog on left (Jackie).

Embark revealed that both are approx 40 % Chihuahua, 20 % rat terrier, 14 % poodle, and the rest assorted other small dogs. I believe these results.

WisdomPanel found Jackie to be primarily (77 %) in the terrier group, with 56 % of that Chihuahua and 21% a collection of other smallish terriers including rat terrier.

We had a literal Choodle, and we called him that. He was the product of 2 purebreds, according to the DNA results, whether deliberate or accidental, unknown. RIP Brynn Oakley, you were a great little dog. On edit: he looked nothing like either breed, but instead resembled a spaniel mix.

I have heard that when it appears that Microsoft has deleted a user's files, what has actually happened is that MS has relocated those files to the cloud and access to them can be found in a different location on your system.. That's only slightly better than actually deleting them, but there you have it.
