The schools are great in North naples. I live in a community there where it’s all young families and more are coming everyday, gay, straight or otherwise. Younger people too. There are some communities that are mostly elderly people, but many aren’t. My daughter is gay and has no problem meeting people, many of her friends are also. She’s 18. I’m not sure about your age group but I live in a neighborhood of tolerance and very few older folks. Interesting to see all the points of view. Living here is paradise. I wish I’d moved here 20 years ago, not 3. Good luck!

The bars, of which there are many, are open. There’s not nightlife like you’d find in the big city but definitely places to go and hang out and drink for people your age.

My kids and I walk and bike everywhere. It’s very walkable based on location. It’s biking and walking friendly with paths and sidewalks everywhere. I live in a gated community in north naples and the average age in my community is early 30’s. Kids, dogs, families everywhere. It’s an amazing melting pot of people from all over. Not only ranked 5 years in a row at number 1 for the healthiest place to live but hit the friendly list too. Extremely low crime. It’s paradise. It’s heaven. I wish I’d moved here 20 years ago.

Justice is screwed on both sides for all walks of life by many types of judges. You got screwed. Many have, many will. Life is not fair. Stop expecting it to be. Murderers and rapists run free, people are wrongly convicted everyday. Police officers are not psychologists, that’s not their role. Society needs to fix that gap. Focus on yourself, set goals and keep going.

What you do now is know you survived. You are no longer allowing yourself to be a victim. You are a survivor. You focus on yourself and healing and stop giving one ounce of energy to him or his family, they’re beyond repair. It’s not your job to fix them. Focus on you. One day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time. It takes time to heal, embrace that process. There are a million free self help therapy and groups on the internet. Find them. Join them. Heal.

The grade school is next to the high school and middle school down around the corner. Search communities on Immokalee and Collier. Try web site https://www.realtyofnaples.com.
