I don't know about the painter, but the style looks to be 1965-1975. I have seen a fair number of book covers/dust jacket with similar style although not so decolletage. I would wonder if it is intended for that purpose.

Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Julia Roberts in Michael Collins and Mary Reilly.

I have to confess - I read My Antonia in high school. I really need to try it again, but in school I was not impressed. The ones I recommended have more "plot" than My Antonia - not like Dumas or Dickens (plot and more plot!) but much more than MA.

You can request blood titering at your doctor's office. Explain that you had one but don't know which.

Autoimmune diseases stink. I have RA and alopecia - both in remission now but Lordy Mae do I hate both! The doctors will say it is either stress or an overactive immune system or both. (But I still have immunity to Yellow fever! And that vaccine was 50+ years ago.)

My oldest nibling had chicken pox - four months before they released the vaccine. Then, at 30! he came down with shingles and had to be threatened to go to the doctor's office. My siblings and I dragged him off to get the vaccine as soon as possible. Then I came down with shingles at 61 and the oldest nibling very kindly took me to get the vaccine at the earliest possible time. And didn't laugh at me which I appreciated.

Whatever is cheapest.

My grandmother had a button tin - and she had my great grandmother's (her MIL,) buttons as well. I got that box when she downsized and I got my mothers. And my buttons. I had to get a large Sunshine Biscuit tin, with handles to store them in. This January just past, I spent the best part of a week sorting them: matching buttons on cut to size garden ties, small Ziplock bags of red, blue, green, black, white, silver, and gold-colored buttons. Saves so much time with the mending.

Sausage if I have any. Fried onions, garlic, some mushrooms if I had any, and some long hot peppers. A bay leaf, some pepper. And since I keep it around, some farofa to sop up the juice.

That Lady by Kate O'Brien.

When I am feeling bad, it's a double feature of the 1940 P & P followed by The Women from 1939. The snark levels are incredible!

2 oz of dark chocolate, Mexican by choice. Smoked sweet squash - you can roast it, but it is better smoked over charcoal with a bit of mesquite.

The Wordhord by Hana Videen was very enjoyable.

Studies in Words by C. S. Lewis I loved. Also, although not specifically about words, The Discarded Image and The Allegory or Love are well worth reading.

Oh, I just don't go to places that call it Italian Ice. Nope. I have lived in Philadelphia since 1967...and it's water ice.
