I am at the bon Jovi reststop on the parkway right now. I set my cruise to 72 and stick to the right lane.. why am I passing everyone today?

SailingSpark

Even with my employer paying half my premiums, I pay pretty close to $500 a month.

That's $12,000 year. Does anybody really think thier taxes are going up that much for state offered health care?

SailingSpark

Honestly, buy what makes you smile. I have two boats, a montgomery 17 that is my small cruiser and an arctic skua sailing canoe.

I grin like a maniac everytime i take the canoe out

SailingSpark

Besides humans, you do have leopard seals.

We renew every 4 years in NJ. I think every other renewal, when they take your picture again, should have a written test.

and not a written test that is 50% about alcohol.

Sadly having people on staff seems to be going away. Atlantic City still has fairly large tech staffs, but our union protects us that way.

SailingSpark

Down here, where I am, in Atlantic County, I see more Republicans for Mollock than I see Van Drew signs. I hope that traitors missing congressman is cooked come novemeber. He has done nothing to help us down here in D2.

SailingSpark

that explains why the GOP and the Epstein class loves him.

too soon?

SailingSpark

besides everyone telling you that there is not enough power, it's also a great way to annoy your audio guys with a hum they can't fix.

SailingSpark

You assume they have two braincells.

With all the bad tesla drivers around, I almost wish FSD was mandatory on those cars

SailingSpark

ugh.. teams. the creator of that should be flogged to death with a wet noodle.

SailingSpark

I see so many "republicans for mollock" signs out in my town, it's not even funny. I hope Van Drew is cooked, because everyone appears to be tired of his always missing bs.

SailingSpark

Everyone shits on the disco, but remember the ones that were left are the good ones. Mine has 136,000 miles on it and except fir me getting off my ass to replace the seat heater, everything works. When something does go wrong, it's usually just a bad sensor.

SailingSpark

I often refer to them as the Epstein class.

SailingSpark

This is not your typical one lane ends merge. This is an onramp merge. Here you accelerate to the speed of traffic and slip into traffic as soon as it is safely possible. Nobody has an obligation to let you in, but it is a very nice gesture on their part.

This idiot blew it by not taking the space the cammer offered.

SailingSpark

The engine lasted 3000k? That sounds like a warranty problem.

SailingSpark

When i lived in Cape May, I got them all the time. I once got a summons 6 weeks after serving on a jury. That was an easy one to get out of.

The sad part: none of my friends or family ever got called, but I would sometimes get multiple summons a year.

I have never owned a car with an electrical parking brake, but it seems more like a solution looking for a problem. There are millions of cars out there with perfectly functional mechanical parking brakes, some of them decades old.

The fact that an electrical motor and gears were installed in an area of the car that sees the roughest treatment, is constantly exposed to water, salt, or even road dirt, and works on a part of the car that can reach 1000 degrees or more in normal usage, seems like a bad idea.

So far they have proven reliable for the most part, but i would love to know if there are any failure numbers

One thing I would like to know, as most people do not use their parking brake, are they automatically engaged when the vehicle is put in park?

My old saab 900 was very easy to work on. Clutch was a half hour job. Even replacing the heater valve under the dash waa super easy to get at. Pull the speaker out the top of the dash, reach down and undo 4 bolts. I did it in the parking garage at work.

SailingSpark

I came to say the Disco. I have a D2 and it's very easy to work on.

SailingSpark

I kept the 3x on my trek when I rebuilt it. 22 tooth granny gear with a 40 tooth on the wheel. I built a tractor.

SailingSpark

Now that adds a new level of embarrassment to the accident. "i'm fine" telling the paramedics, "but can you pull my hand out of my ass?"

SailingSpark

This is something I have noticed over multiple bikes and multiple tubes (I do not run tubeless) and all of them lose a significant amount of air in a week of not being ridden.

I drive a land rover, so there are many.. but I think the one that takes the cake is the coils on the 4,6 "thor" engine. Based on the old aluminum buick engine, the engineers are Land Rover thought the best place for the two coils was at the back of the engine, under the intake.

To properly replace the plug wires, you need to remove the top half of the intake to access the coils.

SailingSpark

I will have you know my ancient landy is not efficient, powerful, or reliable.
