Yes, i thought about this point as well... the only solution that i can think of is if i create an app its better to publish it on GitHub open source with a small team for the updates and patches, nothing else comes to mind.

Totally understand your point for example, a few years back i bought Notability and really liked it, I recommended it to friends who also bought it, used it heavily for months.
Suddenly, they switched to subscriptions... that shattered my trust.
I switched to another app, of course.
I really hope ninox 4 is not going to force it to subscriptions or cloud-based with limitations.
