So jealous, but also proud, of my fellow FYA-holes! As an East Coaster, I'll share y'all's joy from afar for now.

I remember reading somewhere that fathers who act like this only do so because they're scared dudes will treat their daughter the same way they treated young women.

Thank you, Jeff, and the other AG's who fought the good fight! Now, do Duke Power next!

Yes! So much of that film made me feel uneasy, but the brief glimpse of her in the confined space just really set me off. Underrated film (and I can't wait for Hokum!)

This is the truth, the way, and the light. Dadbod is for tourists. Poopboob is for locals.

This is absolutely correct. I'm a registered independent in NC so I can choose party ballots in the primaries. Where is live is DEEP red and if a democrat gets elected, they generally bend to the will of the old guard Republicans that have been in power for decades. That said, for the first time ever, I am choosing a Republican ballot for the primaries this year because there are a few people running for local commissioner seats. They're not bleeding hearts, but their policies revolve around things that I believe in like protecting local farms, focusing on prevention and harm reduction for drug addiction, and using tax funds appropriately. It feels dirty to even get their ballot, but this is how you can change things on a local level. From there, you can change things on a state, then national, level. Primaries are SOOOO important and way too often overlooked.

Congratulations! I'm so proud of you!

That's what my mom called it!

I remember the one in the Myrtle Beach area. My mom liked to call it "Walk-A-Mile" because of how big it was.

It's not lost. It was borrowed by Ben Gates, Abigail Chase, and Riley Poole in 2004 to find Freemason treasure. Learn your history!

I have been putting on a charity haunt for 16 years, and each year we have a new theme, characters, and layout. While we don't have the budget that professional haunts have, we always try to do something new because it's fun for the creative team, the actors, and the guests. I figure if we can do it, the big guys can as well. Also, some of the most highly rated haunts in the country (Netherworld, Haunted Overload, Dent Schoolhouse, HellsGate) have become so famous because of their original stories and characters. When IP is used in a haunt that isn't affiliated with it (HHN doesn't count because Universal owns the IP one way or another) it just feels lazy. I don't mind it when haunts using them as roaming characters in midways or queues, but to ask people to pay money to see something that they've seen before, probably in better ways, just irks me.

Mine are too. I'm the only one in my family that has them.

And Poop Boob! Put aside your differences and unite for this one thing.

The green "orb" is a lens flare from the moon. Notice in the photo where direct light from the moon is hidden behind the trees and the green orb is suddenly gone? I love small town urban legends and lore, but sometimes Occam's Razor wins out.

Great gear! I'm currently running an AG500 through the SL212 and the volume, clarity, and weight (or lack thereof) has made it my favorite rig I've ever had.

I went to school in a very rural town in the foothills of NC and I had one of these bad boys in yellow from high school in 2001 and I literally just got rid of it a couple of months ago. Thing was a work horse and lasted throughout college and various plane carry-on expeditions until it was finally laid to rest nearly 25 years later.

This is so eerily real. Also, despite everything, this is one of my favorite tangents from any episode (I believe from the MK Ultra series):
B- There is a large conspiracy that John, the owner of Garfield, was a CIA agent. And then you wonder was Garfield not just a spy?
H- Oh yeah, of course. Because Garfield could fucking talk or at least mentally, I guess telepathy.
B- Telepathy.
H- And so John obviously was using that for some way, shape, or form.
M- It wasn't telepathy cause he wasn't conveying the thoughts to John, he was just thinking.
H- They talked.
B- John understood Garfield. Well how would he know that he wanted lasagna?
M- Because he fed him lasagna once. If I'm going to go into Garfield lore, I would imagine it's because John left out some lasagna once and Garfield went up and ate it because John is a fucking disgusting bachelor. And so since he saw how much fucking Garfield loves the lasagna, he just kept giving him lasagna because John doesn't know how to take care of a cat.
H- John and Garfield could talk!
B- John and Garfield did talk, yeah.
H- They can talk!
M- I'm not fucking budging on this one.
