Try ticketswap.nl, tickets will definitely be legitimate. Works best if you install their app and activate notifications so you can instantly click on your phone when something's available.

Ah okay - but wouldn’t the asset retain its value even if the 100mn is paid off gradually?

Conscious that a football player may lose its value, but wouldn’t have to for a young player (and either way I’d imagine that separate from the payment scheme: would the player lose value quicker if paid off in 2 instances?)

I also do this for a living :)

Okay I re-read it - you mean that the 20mn is a depreciation on the player and therefore a cost which hits the P&L, right?

I read the situation to mean the 20mn is a 1st payment on the asset but unrelated to depreciation of the asset - meaning the asset retains the value it had at time of purchase and the 20mn is just a shift of cash vs AR - which would not hit the P&L?

Not going to debate this further, google it

No, profit is the change in assets on your balance sheet, you’re describing cash flow.

You’re right that revenue - cost is profit, but the purchase of a capitalized asset is not a cost but an investment. The depreciation of the asset is a cost, but this is not relevant at the moment of purchase. If you exchange 100mn cash for a 100mn player, it doesn’t affect your P&L until the player changes in value.

You would get:

  • Asset side: Assets: +100mn (player)
  • Asset side: Cash: -20mn (cash expense)
  • Liabilities side: Accounts payables: +80mn (future payables for the player value)

Overall profit effect is 0 but cash goes down by 20.

The point about the player value is that you get 100mn cash for a player listed as a 10mn asset, meaning you add more assets (cash) than you lose on your balance sheet which leads to a net profit

Sambuccaneer

Could be if FFP is on cash instead of profit, but the title says profit.

Sambuccaneer

This is not true. You have accounts payable on your balance sheet just the same as you have accounts receivable. You can't put a 100mn player on your balance sheet, pay 20mn and the rest disappears - the 80mn will be on your liabilities. A purchase has 0 impact on your P&L.

The reason this works is because the player is most likely on the balance sheet for the amount he was purchased. Player can be on there for 10mn (purchase price) and be sold for 100mn, the 90mn is accounted as profit at the moment of the sale. The new player is bought for 100mn cash and goes on the balance sheet for 100mn, meaning 0 impact on the P&L.

There are accounting models where assets are re-valued while remaining in possession but I doubt a football club would do this due to the volatility of player values

I’m missing Len Faki & next week sounds too EDM/big room for my liking. 500 Keele doesn’t seem to have anything on either - I may have picked the worst weekend for this

With digital TV it's probably possible to track per device though, right?

Given current events the US Constitution doesn't seem to apply anywhere, US included

This is why I sometimes worry that using 4 May to commemorate all war victims is, while entirely understandable, also a risk. Without wanting to detract from the suffering of people in the various other wars our country has been involved with, WWII really was something else in terms of society-wide evil and suffering - especially for our country. And I’m not sure whether in another 70 years people will still realize that; whether they’ll still keep the lessons I hope we have learned from the war and the holocaust and not see it as just another war a long time ago...

Friday was king's night and the hosting city said they were unable to guarantee safety because of the large number of free/public (outdoor) parties on that night. Ajax had nothing to do with it not being moved to Friday (although it was probably a good call considering king's night can already get rough without football games)

In the Austrian resorts you’re taking about they groom the slopes every night, but with either fresh snow or warm conditions, there’s enough loose snow to make moguls form by noon with busy slopes (and this is a super busy week in Austria)

There will be no moguls on these runs tomorrow morning 8:30 ;)

Wouldn’t worry too much if you’re there on a weekend. Most places don’t post their schedule very early. You will like Marktkantine, Claire, Radion - just check their events a bit in advance and I’m sure you’ll find something you like. De School will be hard considering your age but if you go early (11:30ish) you can always give it a shot (buy your ticket in advance and split up the group). Shelter is easier but I think it’s also 21+. Noorderling also looks cool (it’s in an old ship) and won’t be too hard on the door policy. More alternatively, there’s also the newly opened JACK in a suburb (south-east of the city) - never been but the the concept looks cool, would check what’s playing though. Oosterbar and OT301 are other more alternative options that may be easier on the door policy, but do check the music in advance

George Fitzgerald's All That Must Be really stands out for me, live performance was also fantastic.
