The sister who wants custody has a no contact order. She posts a lot of stuff in local groups. The whole family has tremendous amounts of generational trauma. DCF is a “good enough” type of intervention. Once Chloe was adopted, it seems like the state and circuit court want that final judgment to stay. Because Chloe hasn’t been removed(and adopted), she doesn’t have a guardian ad litem. If there was evidence of the abuse, you’d think she would be removed. The adoptive mother must be cooperating with investigators. CCSO doesn’t want to f this up either. But the sister is not a safe person according to her past criminal activity and injunction. It’s so sad. I pray for that whole family all the time.
