Nah, I wouldn't say is was super easy but I used liquid mask for watercolors and peeled it off after painting the inner part. The only thing that was annoying was when my whole container of glitter slipped out of my hand and drowned the still wet glossing in mountains of glitter xD getting this stuff out without damaging the faceup was... interesting. But the rest wasn't hard at all, using the fluid :)

Yeah, this was also my first thought when I found this guy, since I have a few plush gengars for my self, especially my beloved big squishmallo and was so happy that my dolls now have one too!
Sea-Bet-8366
Haha, yeah that was also what I thought when I saw her like this xD just looked like I caught her in a more personal situation
Thank you very much for the compliments :)
Sea-Bet-8366
Thank you so much! Unfortunately it's hard to keep her styled that way xD
Sea-Bet-8366
Right? It's so cute! Just found this little guy as a keychain in my local super market
Sea-Bet-8366
This is the current styled version. I just found it super funny how the freshly washed hair looked xD

Best boi, would always give him treats if he asks for them

"sell much shittier work than mine" yeah. You are right, this isn't arrogant at all. s/ If you find someone to pay for your stuff, good for you. But with that attitude it won't happen that fast. Even if you have the greatest of skills, it's not guaranteed that you will be successful. It doesn't work that way.
And when the commenter says, he would buy the head and wipe the face up off its a statement, that he would not pay for your face up, but also wouldnt keep it, even if it would come for free with the head. And that's an answer to your question. Like the other commenter said, it's without the Fluff and cushioning, but his true opinion. Many others said the same but worded it a bit more different "wipe it off and practice a bit" or "keep going" means just the same.
This is not to offend you, but to give you an honest opinion, so you can improve yourself, because you have the potential to do so. It would be a waste of talent, if you got stuck thinking you are already better/worse than the rest. Just don't compare yourself to others at all, while just learning about the medium and how to do stuff. If your feeling like it, you still can try to do commissions or sell your stuff. But when it triggers you that much, that people simply prefer wiping it, over having a face up from you, I think you'll have to grow a lot, so you won't get hurt.
At the moment you want to be professional, you will be judged as professional and compared to others.
Another commenter said you should not cut the price too low, and I think that meant, that for example I would maybe pay 5$ for a face up from you, and if you accept it's not even worth the materials you used for it, not mentioned all the time that went in. So you shouldnt do it for too cheap. But for a higher price, there is so much better stuff available. You get what I mean?
I mean, who am I to speak, so you won't have to read my text at all. I think you've got potential and a tendency to overestimate your self, which could sabotage yourself.

What's the point of asking if we would pay for it, if you don't want answers then? You could have just said you're proud of your first face up and keep practicing.
Maybe it's just because you are so hyped it worked out in your favor for the first time and came out very nice for a beginners work, but this comes off as pretty arrogant if you can't do even lines and want to put a price on it.
And yes, even 20$ is too much for it. Now. If you want to be seen like a professional (that's when people start to pay you to do stuff), you have to endure being compared with other professionals.
If you don't want answers like that, don't ask questions that lead to such answers. It's absolutely okay to say that you are proud of yourself and like your art :) even if it's not comparable to professionals. The hell, most of us don't hold a candle to those doing faceups as commissions. Just keep going and try to be a bit more down to earth. You really have potential!

Haha, thank you so much! Yes, they do! And we plan to 3d print the stuff that is meant to go into the pockets. Also planning on doing a holster fitting for a small revolver, attached to the harness
Sea-Bet-8366
I found them on Ali Express and always try to keep a small stock of them! You can't have enough mini buckles.
Sea-Bet-8366
Thank you very much, that's nice of you :) but it's less talent and more just trial and error with a lot of determination. If you don't fear the failure and just try again and again, you will be surprised what you can do!

The harness is made out of the elastics you can buy for making underwear or BH straps. I love using it, since it's way cheaper than PU leather stripes, easy to sew, elastic and has a great usability.
The seams on the jacket on the neck, the arms and the hips is also done with that elastics, but a broader one

I'm using super thin jersey, harvested from a cheap body from Primark.
It's jersey used for underwear or sport gear.
I'm more often than not going for cheap clothes in XXXXL size (if possible) to harvest my fabrics, since finding thin and at the same time opaque fabrics is kind of like searching for the needle in hay
Sea-Bet-8366
He is just perfection!
Sea-Bet-8366
I really love this doll so much! That's why I'm eager to make her the best I can do. The sculpt is so amazing
Sea-Bet-8366
The dress really doesn't fit that well, but good thing is, it's just temporary so she doesn't have to sit around nude until I got the time to sew her planned lolita-esque outfit with a white blouse and dark blue, starry skirt and light blue Petticoat
Sea-Bet-8366
Fun thing is, I tried highlighting the nose with a purple heart shaped tip, but it looked off. Another commenter pointed out, that the hole area around the nose is way too dark, so this could be the reason it looks too flat. I'll try to get a lighter tone around the nose, and keep the tip as dark as possible to highlight it.
Sea-Bet-8366
You're so sweet 🥹 but I just have to start over, to change the things that aren't working, otherwise it gets really messy T_T but I try my best to keep the basics of the design itself, since I like it very much too! It's just too much of everything so instead of highlighting the design itself, everything screams for attention and distracts from the super cute face sculpt.
Thank you!
