John Cruelty AKA the player can respawn upon dead because the world has invented a resurrection technology which makes EVERYONE can be revived upon death, no matter how severe their dead body.
This mechanic plays a critical role in storyline because with this invention, life value became worthless and everyone can kill everyone every day just to spite them for multiple reason. This also explains how every mission is replayable.
In the golden ending, the player ascends as god and destroys and recreates the world in order to make life and death become balanced and important once again.

Could be this one, checking the file location leads to a folder which has nothing but userdata folder, but the file location says Google\Chrome\gtm8if2ybf\chrome140. exe, and there's no exe in said folder at all

Getting enough companion affinity makes Cait tell her backstory to Sole Survivor.
Long story short, her "parents" abused her for a long time, sold her to slavers once she was 18 without any hesitation. After that, she slowly made her own freedom, freed from slavery by pay with stolen caps, went home and gave her "parents" a huge gratitude by killing them with a gun.
Good riddance, I feel satisfied after I listened to her story for the first time.
