It’s pretty good, but shows the turbo pumps in the middle of the combustion chamber. Because of this, you also don’t show the pipes leading from the turbo pumps to the combustion chamber. But generally, this is good! Nice clear linework and colour coding.

Cool ass cape

Did it work? Don't leave us hanging haha!

15 years ago we used Smiths Speciality Metals.

I have had the same experience - shortcuts are much more complicated on Linux than windows. I need to make a desktop entry, and specify categories etc. Not intuitive, but more powerful ultimately.

What’s that main window you have running? ‘Alterm’?
Sebzeppelin
Hmmm. What does sudo fdisk -l say?

Type the lsblk ('list blocks') command into a terminal window. This will list all the physical disks (and partitions on them) attached to your computer. It's likely the second 500GB disk simply isn't mounted.

Having agreed roles at competition. Who is in charge of the pit area? (Not touching the car, just keeping the pit area organised and knowing which box what stuff is in). Who is responsible for the pit trolley? Who is in charge of car set up? (Tyre pressures, etc.). Avoid everyone being toddlers chasing a football and all trying to work on the car at once!

What's the screen like? Does the USB-C do power and display?

It’s called the Goiânia accident.. a very sad series of events. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goi%C3%A2nia\_accident

This is a lie by omission! Sex and intimacy is an important part of many relationships, but trust and openness should be part of every relationship.

I had one of these in a protein shaker bottle, it was meant to help stir the mixture, like a ball bearing in a paint spray can.

This looks really nice! I like the icons and the colours.

Ah damn! I managed to make it through, just. The thing that saved me was getting to a bigger island ASAP. I built a factory there in one place, and just brought scrap in by train.

Size is less of a problem than having re-etrant (concave) features in your ‘blob’ of robots. If those get too large, robots can run out of battery and take a slow, inefficient route. In extreme cases they can even get stuck - imaging a large ‘c’ shape of roboports where the gap is too large for a robot to fly half way across. It’ll set off, run out of battery, search for the nearest roboport, and potentially go back on itself to the place it came from.

I competed at FSUK for four years, and Formula Student Germany (FSG) twice in the early 2010s. There was none of this bad attitude at any of those events! At the FSUK awards ceremony, teams that have achieved something significant for themselves often get recognition, even if it's not a formal award. One year a team from India spend half their entire budget simply getting the team and car to the event, and they got a huge round of applause from the whole room. Yes, objectively their car was not very well designed, nor a marvel of precision manufacturing, but they'd spent less than $10k on the car. There was a cameraderie from other teams lending tools and parts and trying to get them through scrutineering.
I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a negative experience! Sometimes teams with big budgets forget what it's like to be a small group struggling for essentials, and get a bit elitist. (Especially the big budget teams that don't do very well in the competition!) There is however no excuse for the people running the event to lose sight of how different everyone's situation is. They should be tailoring their feedback to the situation of the team.
One thing you can do to help (and I'm not blaming you or your team at all here) is to be direct about your situation. If you open with something like "This is our third year competing and as a team we've never had a running car before. With a budget of $xxx our goal was to pass all the scrutineering inspections and get the car on track for any event", you'd hope the judges will calibrate themselves and their feedback appropriately!

Which event is this at? I volunteer at FSUK (in the United Kingdom) and the vast majority of my fellow scrutineers / judges / dynamic area people are pretty stoked for the students, because most of us competed while we were at uni. Definitely provide your feedback on negative experiences to the organisers - these sorts of disparaging comments would not be tolerated at our event, and volunteers have been sent home / not invited again for much less than that example text you posted. FS is an enormous commitment and everyone’s achievements are personal and relative. Claude is a complete asshat for that sort of opinion.

Yeah, it must do once the bricks are heated up to a certain point by the exhaust gas flow. An interesting way to avoid having an expensive heat exchanger: stacks of cheap bricks and some valves. Interesting that this is the most effective solution. I wonder if it’s cost or something else that drives this design choice?
That makes sense! One very important decision you need to make when drawing diagrams is what view allows the clearest view of everything. In this case, a side view would avoid the confusion of things being in front of each other. In a diagram, you also have latitude to move things around a bit, make some complicated bits bigger than they really are so that they are easier to see. This is a great effort - but keep trying different things and the next one will be even better!
