I was like this!! I mentioned it to my doc and she gave me a script for beta blockers (propranolol). They have been such a help for when I know stressful things are coming up like job interviews, tough weeks or conversations. I don’t take them every day but they’re amazing for when you need a bit of support.
They’ve cut down the heart pounding adrenaline haze that would come over me and have generally made those moments much calmer. Whereas before I could burst into tears, or feel so overwhelmed in the moment. It kinda gives me the space to do the thing without my body going absolutely haywire.

I like the 3M Classic foam yellow earplugs. Never had a problem with them falling out and they block noise beautifully. And they’re cheap!

My cat is pretty jumpy. We live in an apartment and she still jumps when the doorbell goes. I found some calming tablets with tryptophan helped a lot. This is the link - it’s Australian but I expect there’s something similar in other countries.
I give her one of these in AM and PM, more if I’m having people over. It does help a lot.
