This SCREAMS methamphetamine!

It still is, except for medical marijuana. If you buy recreational weed at a legal dispensary, it's still considered schedule I. It's the stupidest thing!

I don't see what a lock box would really accomplish when one can just get a cheap $20-$30 burner phone at Walmart and turn that in instead of the phone they actually use.
Phones in schools are definitely a problem, but lock boxes don't seem like they'd be effective enough to warrant the expense.
A policy of having teachers confiscate phones that are being used in class and requiring parents to come pick them up is probably the best option. Kids on phones are never as discreet as they think they're being, and saying "hand it over" takes all of 15 seconds.

Don't forget 8675309, the most secure 7-digit PIN.

Doesn't being charged with a felony disqualify you from ARD?

IIRC, it's the first track on Deep Six.

IIRC those modules only change what IMEI your apps see. The cell towers still see your original IMEI.

Some people don't like losing Zelle on their savings accounts, or having their outbound ACH transfers take triple the amount of time.

So you want your driver's license to become invalid because Google Maps drained more battery than you thought it would and now your phone's out of battery before you reached your destination?
Digital driver's licenses are a TERRIBLE idea. Good on PA for NOT implementing them!

I always said "Howes" for "Lowes"
Toyota "Cholera" instead of "Corolla"
"Hazard Fraught" instead of "Harbor Freight"
We have Giant grocery stores, and sometimes, I'll call them "Va-Giant"
"Wally World" or "Walfart" instead of "Walmart"

The Qmart (Quakertown Farmer's Market) is a great third place, though I'm not sure if it's the best place to meet people. But once you've met people, going there to people-watch and shop at the flea markets is great low-cost entertainment. You can get food there as well.

I still see a bunch of these in western NJ.

My buddy had a 1999 Taurus sedan (from the generation before this one), and it smelled like a DUI on wheels. Surprisingly, no DUI arrests or convictions ever occurred in it, but that was totally luck.

They're not common, but they're not quite rare; I work in a parking lot, and I see a couple 5th gen Honda Accord wagons that frequent the store. There's also an elderly woman who drives a 5th gen 1995 Honda Civic sedan, and when I asked her about it, the first thing she said was "Not for sale!" and after I clarified that I wasn't trying to buy it, she told me she loves it because it isn't required to be inspected, since it predates 1996 and OBDII. It looks to be in great shape.

My biggest fear with something like FSD (or even basic cruise control) is complacency. You can be looking at the road, but if you aren't actively engaged beyond watching the road, are you going to be able to react as quickly as you would've been if your foot had been on the accelerator? When you've been driving for hours, are you going to know when you're reaching the limits of your concentration?
On paper, FSD sounds like a collaborative effort between man and machine, but in practice, it seems like it could easily degrade into a high school group project where the smart kid's doing all the work and everyone else is doodling in their notebooks or tapping their pencils against their desks, totally disengaged.

I think we should ban cruise control as well. When the car's doing most of the mundane driving tasks for you, you often don't even realize that you're fatigued to the point of not being able to cruise at a consistent speed without electronic assistance. Without driver assists, fatigue becomes apparent earlier and you have early warning telling you it's time to pull over and walk around a bit.
Serialtorrenter
The problem with driver assists is that it's harder to detect that you're becoming fatigued when the car's doing a lot of the driving for you. I personally think we should go as far as banning cruise control.
When you start having trouble going a consistent speed, you know it's time to pull over, nap, walk around, eat, or do whatever you need to do to get your focus back. If the car's doing the mundane tasks for you, you might not notice your fatigue until it's too late.

I thought it was Nibbles Woodaway. In either case, it's such an iconic fixture on the drive to eastern Massachusetts. I'm happy to see it referenced here!

Probably iOS apps. I was under the minimum age for an Apple ID when I got my iPod Touch 4th gen, so I had to jailbreak and use Installous to download free apps before realizing that I could just use a different email address and say I was born in 1900.
Those were the good old days! The limera1n bootrom exploit meant that any new update was immediately jailbreakable in a semi-tethered fashion.

Simple. Sell your house and buy a house in an unincorporated part of Newfoundland and Labrador. No property taxes, but no public services either.

The Big Blue Bug!
The visual inspection is only as effective as the person doing it. If you take your car to Slick Ricky's garage (on the wrong side of town) and leave him a nice tip, it'll pass, so long as the computer doing the OBDII scanning doesn't pick up any codes.
