I might actually buy it now. I don’t have the time to farm gear just for some aggro pvp loser to take it all. It’s not a game for adults with jobs and families, but if they make PVE a permanent game mode it will be!

Man so many indie devs drop shitty projects in here. This is absolutely not one of them. Looks fantastic! Keep up the good work. Instant buy from me as long as it runs on SteamOS!

Don’t go with a Steam Deck unless you manage to get a second hand one for less than $500. They just aren’t worth their current price tag. I’d personally go the handheld PC route and try to find a deal on an Ally or Legion Go, but you’re still looking at a big penny. Budget wise, the RP5 is great for Switch emulation and a plethora of 2D Steam games. Easy to sail the seven seas on it as well.

Switch 2 is a locked ecosystem, but it just works right out of the box if you’re looking for simplicity.

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System

We have a handful in the Pittsburgh area! Mostly older arcade machines and pinball, bring-your-own-laptop/handheld based gaming bar would be sweet.

Dock, external monitor, M&K—now you have a PC that you can convert into a handheld by unplugging a single cable! Idk what these comments are on about, this is a good use of it without having to shell out for another PC.

Wow, this is only the Z2GO?? That means the Z1E could probably be used with Balanced FSR and get some higher frame rates. Thats actually amazing optimization for such a big UE5 game.

I’d wager that it’s more about the developers actually optimizing their games for the platform. The PC versions of the same games aren’t optimized for handhelds because their main audience is PC/laptop gamers. If the devs want to sell any Switch 2 copies they need to run perfectly on the platform. The Nvidia chip does utilize DLSS better, but the raw performance of almost any AMD or Intel handheld chip is more powerful.

Earthbound is so timeless. I played it for the first time recently and I’m over 30. Still felt fresh. Never had an SNES as a kid so I played a lot of what I missed out on. Super Metroid and Zelda:LTTP hit that same timeless feeling for me.
