This is not WoW or FFXIV, Deadlock isn't that shallow.

Sevla7

Yeah, Bryan in TEKKEN does this exact same move:

I know this is a joke, but you really don't need to watch people on youtube explaining things.

What people miss is: The game (be it Bloodborne or Elden Ring) don't FORCE you into the story/lore, it's absolutely optional and it's really good but you don't have to go after it if you don't want to. It's not like 'cinematic games' where they force you to watch and understand things, it's totally optional and your choice.

With that said i never watch videos from Vaaty or any 'theory video' before finishing the game, you would be surprised by the huge amount of things you can just understand by being a little curious. A lot of Vaaty videos were just "things i already knew", the cool thing is when he (or the community mostly) finds something really hard to figure out and it gives that "oh shit" feeling when everything fall in place, it's a really cool "puzzle" the way the story works.

The biggest issue with this model are people who only watch other people playing (twitch, youtube, etc) and never experience it by themselves, to them a game that looks more like a tv show works better.

And honestly, a lot of books and movies are also like this, if the movie water down the need to have any braincell to make it more "netflix friendly" it will be a big let down.

Sevla7

Not the first, not the last. Classic US.

Sevla7

Pray for Season 4.

Sevla7

A bunch of unemployed people on twitter doesn't mean japan is fighting 50 countries from the ""west"".

Sevla7

The fact one of them is pantless because his pants are part of this engineering is great hahaha

Sevla7

Maybe I'm out of the loop but can anyone explain why the "Patriotic Wing" in Brazil hates their own country and begs so much to be pegged by the US?

Sevla7
  • I paid for my Playstation console, very expensive right now
  • I paid for my game, fucking $70
  • I paid my bills which includes internet
  • The devs had to pay for their own server, because Sony never helped them

AND YET THEY DENY ME OF PLAYING ONLINE?!

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY SOME RANSOM TO BE ABLE TO PLAY ONLINE?!

If this isn't some of the scummiest practices ever made... just please, destroy Sony and use them as an example before destroying all the other who also do this shit.

Sevla7

What a fucking idiot. Tbh the amount of streamers cheating is really high which is why many refuse to play a game on locals or on a different pc/console.

It's easy to have these on screen but config them to not be show on a transmission.

Twitch people have absolutely no criteria, it's insane.

Sevla7

Yes it works and yes it has some people playing it online. It's fun and it has a lot of unique characters, be it from Tekken or from the guests DLCs.

The people crying that "t8 is absolute garbage i wish we still could play t7" are the biggests piece of shit larpers because this game was always there the entire time, same for any Virtua Fighter or Dead or Alive.

Some idiots complain just for the sake of complaining, it's the only thing left in their miserable life.

Sevla7

Exactly, this is 100% on Creative Assembly who's pretty much slopping the whole Alien Isolation 2 right now.

Get your mass layoff to add some 'sharehold value' and fuck off, ruining SHOGUN is pretty much like ruining Ocarina of Time. This company is dead.

Sevla7

Ace Combat 8 deserved to be higher.

Sevla7

Tekken Rev is nothing like T7, this is weird.

Basically Tekken was all the hype after 5 so Tekken 6 sold well, but people didn't really liked it. Lars is ass, Jin is Hitler, long story mode but it was tiresome and uninteresting like the ones from soul calibur, the start of the stupid long ass combos, it wasn't that prettier when compared to T5 DR on Arcade, shitty online experience for anyone used to locals/arcade...

So they did TTT2 putting a lot of effort into making it a quality game, but after 6 everyone was kind of burned out and it didn't looked like a huge jump from 6. The pro community loved TTT2 but the average player, which is exactly the people who keep these games alive, didn't understood what was going on.

So here comes Tekken Revolution, a free2play game that recycles a lot of things from TTT2 to make some money and i'm pretty sure it did make some good money. There was some effort into it, like new cool songs and stuff but it's probably the most unbalanced and braindead Tekken game ever made. But it had a lot of players (which is good for online matches), so it worked.

So here we have 2 sides: The game for the highly skilled fans with some good taste (TTT2) and the game for the casuals who just want to have some dumb fun (Tekken Rev)

Tekken 7 is basically what people expected T6 would be: a jump in graphics, interesting new additions, a story that's worth watching and meaningful instead of looking like some random filler, Jin is not Hitler anymore... T7 is more like T8, both are very close in its "philosophy".

That's shit i lived through with my PS3 by the way, it's not what someone told on youtube or anything.

I also played A LOT of Ace Combat Infinity (the F2P version) and this game is back inside the new Ace Combat 8, which i'm loving.

I remember playing the F2P Soul Calibur for PS3 too but that was really really really boring, even for SC standards.

Sevla7

Honestly this is kinda looking like some psy-op.

Maybe i'm the crazy one, but they could be using this opportunity to change the subject of what was being discussed, also this make people who are part of the protest to stop being part of it for being afraid to be associated with these animals.

Sevla7

I didn't try it yet but i'm almost sure it has all singleplayer content from TTT2.

You can launch the game, so yeah...

Sevla7

oh now this is interesting

Sevla7

Also so far we have no hints of Deadlock's universe being racist in human terms.

We don't have things like a jew and a german, which is something to consider since Deadlock happens in the 40's.

But we do have Yamato and now a Chinese character... so yeah, people sometimes forget that Japan in the 40's wasn't the "land of anime and videogames", i guess something would have happened already if this was the case.

My conclusion is that making any playable character a racist/rapist/etc is definitely a no in deadlock design.

Sevla7

Man the way everyone speaks their own language in Tekken is so fun, when i was playing Street Fighter I missed this SO MUCH...

I also don't understand why everyone has perfect american english, is the use of accent something that is considered racist/offensive in the US or something like that?

Sevla7

As a fan of Ueda work:

The best version of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus is the OG PS2 version, the remaster for PS3 was very faithful but it changed a couple of things (no big deal if i'm remembering it correctly), now the "remake" did some very weird changes to the og artistic vision just because they wanted to show everyone how the new version is better instead of being 100% faithful. Some changes in the fog, lighting effects and how you deal with bosses definitely delivers something different compared to when this game was praised as "art" when it was first released.

So... a faithful port of the OG PS2 game with some really good CRT Filter and framerate/widescreen fixes would probably be the absolute best version.

Sevla7

If it were an actual ability where he stops time mid game, freezing his opponent while he can move freely, I think that would be unfair

DIO is exactly like this in any fighting game you can play as him.

Why have him if anything that makes him unique is just cosmetic?

Sevla7

The guy was like "i have 10 seconds of oxygen and this HAS TO WORK"

Sevla7

I knew it was shitposting but when i saw "new car" i just lost.

I agree, this is science.

Just remove Lars (he's living some celibacy) and move Asuka to Wet Fur.

Sevla7

I don't want to be ass but... we are talking about Japan, the place where people work on saturdays and do extra hours always.

It's good that they follow rules, which is why some places there are so nice and safe. Great.

But this is also how companies abuse employees daily.

In Asia they don't even dare do say in public a lot of stuff (the absolute fear of going against the 'rules'), endorsing piracy would probably get someone fired over there so...

Sevla7

That... makes no sense.

The World ("za warudo") skill is time stopping, maybe time stopping consuming heat would fit better.

At least it's a villain like almost all guests, only Square-Enix pushes these bland 'heroes' as guests, i'd rather see Kefka as a guest than Tifa.
