Would you mind explaining something? To be clear I hate the tariffs before anyone accuses me of something.
I keep hearing this over and over from reputable news sources and parroted back, it’s only telling 1/2 the truth.
Yes the original tariffs were struck down by the Supreme Court, that’s the first half and totally true. Then more tariffs were set based on a different law that has held up to scrutiny. So yes a few were removed while others were removed for about 24 hours but then enacted differently.
Here’s a good resource if you want more info: https://taxpolicycenter.org/features/tracking-trump-tariffs
Anyway, my question, why do people say the tariffs were removed and never mention they were re enacted under different laws? Is it because news sources just don’t talk about them or that they all made a big to do about the Supreme Court ruling the initial batch unconstitutional but no big todo about them being re enacted? I’m genuinely curious (for the record I’m one of those weird centerist people that don’t take a strong stance on either side and only lean one way or the other on individual issues).

Hey, there are resources out there especially for this type of situation, consider posting this to r/agingparents there’s a lot of behavior and things you have alluded to that could easily be dementia and possibly some ADHD mixed in.

You come in and attack instead of asking a question that a community of support could help with. No you break the rules get a smart Alec answer and expect people to be nice to you when you are “acting like a dick”? Screaming “I’m an asshole be nice to me” is peak entitlement.

The terms of MS accounts that the consumer agrees to are that the security of the account is the responsibility of the user and failing to protect the account results in the account being disabled/deleted
We see about 50 of these posts a week over in [r/xboxsupport](r/xboxsupport)

For what its worth, you are the outlier not the norm, so for people like me who will spend an absurd amount of time arguing with AI for some BS reason for it to never actually lead to a human, added to the fact "no." is a full sentence, screw the 5 dollars ill write it off instead of arguing for hours. Does your AI disclose the fact that itll get to a human if it doesnt work the first time? If not, then you know why people give up, how do I know I wont have to argue with an AI for 3 hours to get human eyes on something.
Heck, I had an issue with Amazon last week where I just took the write off. They left a tube of thermal paste out of a thousand dollar order, so I tried to get them to fix that, the AI wouldnt let me get to a human, and didnt have the option for 1 thing missing in the package, after an hour I gave up, the only options it would give me is return with a restocking fee or replace the entire order, for a 4 dollar tube of paste.

It is kinda getting old. The gaming industry has had a sharp decline in the last decade or so.
Some people blame AI
Some people blame “woke and inclusivity”
Some people blame big companies from buying other smaller ones (though that has contributed)
The real blame should be the fact that gaming and creative fun games are the antithesis of capitalism, there’s a graph where creativity and fun drops and the amount of dollars a company can extract from a player rises, we overshot the midpoint in like 2012. I can’t remember what podcast I was listening to while mowing the other day but they were talking about how everything gets blamed but the fact that it’s over monitized and creativity is squashed.
I for one miss truely creatively fun games, when was the last time we had a truely fun not overly monitized game from a non indie studio? Feels like it’s been a bit.
Hell tac AC black flag resynced, all they had to do was put the game out and could get a big win, but they have so much in your face monetization, if you hit the start button to pause you don’t hit start to get out of the pause menu, the start button in the pause menu takes you to the skins store.
Ugh, sorry for the rant, I just want to play fun games

No, this person was obnoxiously nasty, I’ve got an extremely thick skin this was “fuck you, fuck your family, I will murder your dog” type language. I’ve dealt with bad CSRs, hell I work in IT and have regularly had to deal with Microsoft support for example, this was something insane. You, as an example would be a 2 on the “not nice scale” this person was a 9, they took it as if I was trying to steal from them.

So when someone comes to you and says they want to transfer 10 Gigabytes per second what do you do? You spec them out a 100gigabit switch, which effectively is a 10 gigabyte switch.
And you are calling ME pedantic when you yourself are overly rigid with with minor details and making a show of knowledge, both literally the definition of a pedant.
Hello Pot.
bet you are a blast at parties

Reading through this all I could think was “yep that’s exactly how it works and is laid out in the T&C”
You signed up for the license, by signing up you committed to paying for it for x amount of time (trial, monthly, yearly). That’s pretty much all there is to it, if you use it or not is really really irrelevant. If you commit to trash pickup for a month but don’t put your bin out, do you get a refund? No. Most (if not all?) Microsoft based orgs buy 10-20% overage on licenses per year to cover need/attrition, we don’t get to say “hey these 5 E5 licenses were not used refund us”. You are billed for the license, not the use unless you try to exceed the in built guardrails.
Not a simple question
If you want a backup, there’s a free version of veeam for up to 10 users, but it’s not searchable and readable.
If you want searchable and readable you are limited to PSTs
Those are the only “offline” methods. Email is stored in a database, you would have to export that entire database and read it with something capable of reading it, aka export to pst and read it with outlook.
