I have unabashedly cussed out recruiters who cold call my cell phone. Gtfo with that noise its a work day and I didn’t ask for your interruption

Long ago, when we had cubicle offices and voip (Skype! But thats a different story) desk phones, RH would call one engineer and try to recruit them out. They’d usually semi politely tell the recruiter to pound sand. Then the phone of the next engineer would ring… would go around the whole floor before it stopped for the day. The recruiters had no clue we were all just placing bets on who got the next call. None of us were dumb enough to take a RH position.

I had an hour commute in my 20s. This fueled my desire to never again commute. I hate driving with an undying passion
