Unlike all the commenters who portray this as sucking the blood out of infants to help billionaires, I guess the big benefit of that is being able to treat an infant with stem cells created from their own cells. These ones still require pulling from the bone marrow, so not as simple as just a small blood draw. But I guess worth it if you really need the stem cells.
I was doing some research on this, and the AI response at the top of the search page recommended that pulling a sample of marrow via a needle into the hip bone from the back should be something done by a professional and not on your own.

I had someone complain that their laptop required a finger print instead of a password so they couldn't have someone else unlock the computer for them. I explained how to disable the fingerprint and then they said, "Oh, yeah, I don't remember the password."
Well then, let's bypass the password.
BitLocker.
Well, did you have anything important on it?
They don't remember.
They needed it for something the next day so I stopped in and reformatted it.
Those times when you solve the problem brought to you instead of the real problem can really get you. Even worse when you're helping someone informally because you just took on a long-term headache for free

It was never meant to make marginalized groups feel better. It was only to make the people pushing the idea feel better and everyone else feel worse.
I typically write the model number of the device it belongs to on the DC converter using a silver pen when I first purchase the device. That's not as important anymore now that pretty much everything just powers off USB. For laptop plus I'll use a label maker with my name on it. It's especially important if you get together with a lot of people to do work on your laptops and someone else has the same device you have. You always run the risk of them accidentally taking yours as well.
