Mine said I could drive as soon as I wasn’t under influence of pain meds - I drove (just to a recheck) on 9th day.

Off topic, but the only actor I ever saw in the wild was Mark Ruffalo soon after 13 Going on 30 was released. My daughter was 10ish at the time and we were spending weekend in NYC. We saw Mark with his young kid(s) at a playground in Central Park - so fun!

I have been on a blue cheese kick that I can’t stop, so can attest to this!

I started taking one every OTHER day last February and stopped getting auras within a week. Was having multiple per week in the year leading up to that.

One thing my adult daughter (who lives in different state) do is if we are together on Thanksgiving we put up Christmas tree that weekend and decorate it together if we’re not going to be together on Christmas.

I feel for your mom. It absolutely broke my mom’s heart when she couldn’t read anymore. Until almost the end she would ask me to get a “large print book”, not understanding that it was a processing problem, not vision 😔. When she couldn’t read anymore still enjoy tv at all I did series like Mike & Molly and Everybody Loves Raymond. Later went thru Elvis movies since had music.

My dealer sends coupons but it literally takes HOURS for oil change because they insist on attempting huge upselling every time .

My mom who had Alzheimer’s barely qualified for hospice as well (I had asked for the eval because I was starting to need more nursing help/answers than the once a month Palliative Care we’d been getting. For first few weeks I worried she would get kicked off of hospice too. Then she just forgot how to walk one day and was SO DISTRESSED at having to be changed - she hated it, cried out in pain so we started the comfort meds, but then couple days later she aspirated on the last spoonful of yogurt I gave her :-( She had wanted it, opened her mouth willingly. She was gone from aspiration pneumonia within 48 hours. It was a blessing she didn’t suffer longer, but I had thought we would be in it together for at least a few more years. I would give anything to have her back even at her worst just for a few more minutes. So sorry for the loss of your dad, but glad he is at peace, OP.

I retired at 60 (the minute I became eligible to collect my pension) because was caring alone for my mom who had Alzheimer’s. Between our two pensions and her SS we were very comfortable financially. Even though she had alz, she had never smoked or drank, so I expected her to live 7ish years as her own mom had . She died ten months after I retired - this was 3 1/2 years ago and money is TIGHT.
