I’ll just also say that Math 005 is one of the WORST designed classes on campus and one of the highest fail rate courses for a reason.
I understand that a good portion of students start off with Math 005 so you can give the same lecture types as higher level math courses, which is fine, but the course is entirely dependent on who you get as a professor.
The class is almost fully designed around an online system where you take homework’s and exams, and the only supplementary learning you get is with a TA twice a week for 50 minutes. You don’t have the same luxury of a typical lecture where a professor details how they do problems and where you are face to face, you pretty much spend all in person time on discussion worksheets and weekly quizzes that don’t fully reflect the work you’ll do for the online portion.
I’ll admit when I first started, I was not a very great one. I was a first gen student, had a learning disability, and was navigating college almost completely alone. I wish I used my resources more, but I didn’t even know about many of them, and that class is genuinely designed in a way where students I knew who were genuinely trying their ass off were also struggling. My Math 022 TA a few years later agreed that the class is designed terribly and everyone knew of the high fail rates.

You can withdraw for any reason, when I did it I was taking almost max units so I said i wouldn’t be able to put as much time towards it as needed and it got approved

I also took 180 I thought it was pretty fun, plus a lot of GIS opportuntities are available so it's a good skill to learn. There are two professors though, I took it with Erin, and I had a friend who took it with the mail professor who has a reputation for being a bit harder but is nice if you get to know him.
I took ENGR 155 a few semesters ago and withdrew, and I'm taking it agian this semester and I still hold the same feelings towards the class. Even though I've had it with different professors I haven't liked it either time, it's always pretty early which always suck and the work is just always very long and tedious, plus the whole semester group project you have to do. It's definitely doable and manageable, I just don't like it personally.

Looking at previous years exams and trying to redo a lot of the homework problems. From what I can tell, the exam will primarily based on what we did for homeworks and exercises from the textbook.

June of the previous year, I think they opened early.

This esport hasn’t been the same since they put OWCS matches on polymarket

For last years intern role, I got email from recruiter in January asking for a transcript and got the OA shortly after that.

Living off campus is definitely manageable, I lived off campus for a yeat without a car and while I did catch rides from friends pretty often it's still doable with just the bus. The main hard part is getting groceries while living off campus.
While the housing cost itself is pretty cheap, you'll also have to think about furnishing if your place isn't pre furnished. I knew I was gonna be off campus for a while and I spent a good amount of money on a bed and desk and dresser, since many places wont provide that.
Use the direct cost worksheet to estimate how much you'll actually need and owe when living on campus, the financial aid site can be a bit misleading sometimes so it's good to figure out what the actual costs are. I dont think being off campus would be bad, but if it's just going to be a semester and it's not too much, it might be good to be on campus while you're still navigating a new area.

CSE 108 is the most likely to happen again because the class is already fully online during fall or spring. I wouldn’t expect other upper divisions to happen over summer because faculty doesn’t like teaching online or when there’s a shorter semester

Crazy drop but at least we got a funny number
SkywardStar
How much?

I like to throw a bunch of ground beef, microwave rice and veggies into a mixing bowl and distribute evenly for meal prep

I don’t think he knows it’s legal now

If you can wait a bit, around Halloween Merced Tattoo and Piercing shop has some good deals. They do them pretty periodically for most major holidays and even graduation deals

Best addition to happen to campus in a long time, these are absolutely necessary since it takes so long to get an Amazon package from the mail room. I expect them to fill up pretty quick though lol

I think by Tuesday but im not completely sure to be honest.

Mine just went to 0, but I know a few others who hit 0 days ago and already got theirs processed. Should be within the next few days.

I’ve heard the horror stories and I’m also scared to be in his class next semester. I’m hoping spots with the other professor open up

Typing "Enjoy Faceit" at the Kafe players post P/R just to get kicked from the team after getting promoted is really unfortunate lol.

For CSE 108 it was mandatory, it's pretty quick though you just show your website and the code.

Yeah if you want the UC insurance and it says unsatisfied, don’t worry about it you’re still getting the insurance and it’ll go away after a while.
For graduation application, all students get that automatically based on how many units they have completed. It’ll appear on every semesters checklist until the deadline is past or you complete it.
There’s videos built into Aleks itself, and the designated instructor for the course provides additional resources and videos from the same course at other schools, but there aren’t any formal lecture sessions. Your TA for the discussions will do problems based on what you’re doing in aleks that week, but it feels more supplementary than anything.
