Food for thought... Indie games are artisan pieces, not mass produced cookie cutter cabinets - so there are no cost breaks at scale like big name companies get for mass production titles (for example pinball as mentioned above). This is why they they shell out big money for large IPs.

Take Black Emperor for example: it may look like a mobile game stuck inside a simple cabinet to a passerby but that is a very narrow sighted take. The development of the game from simple mobile game to a rewarding arcade experience took YEARS of work from several people. The wheel controller was developed and specially made by BumbleBear for their game, the board is specifically created and took 6 iterations to get just right, the hardware used to attach the components are hand selected to make it functional, the side art and soundtrack were custom made to honor Japanese Bosozoku motorcycle culture, and the side profile cuts of the cabinet are inspired by a silhouette of a Japanese kimono dancer. So on...

We understand that pricing is definitely on the high end, but we are delivering arcade games as an art form and developing games with soul and depth. Cheaper arcade experiences can be had but most of them are the same tired gameplay with a brand new IP slapped onto it.

Pinball is a great example, $7k will get you the base mass produced model but if you want the small batched art piece it'll cost $12k+... Indie game breathe life into the arcade scene - unfortunately, the small production runs make the production cost high 🤷‍♂️

Not sure if this is still active but I took an extremely high dose of accutane over the course over 2 years on highschool. I'm 49 now and have well over 100 lipomas... I know the BumbleBear crew (creators of Killer Queen) very well and I can confirm that you are spot on - KQB was never intended to be a port and was developed by LiquidBit with help from the BumbleBear team to make a console game inspired by Killer Queen (arcade).
You can still play locally but due to Amazon shutting down the service KQB servers are offline.

From my experience growing up with a Mexican father and also playing soccer in California with Mexicans - puto is used to mostly call someone a bitch. Marícon is used to call someone a "f*g". Regardless of the translation, FIFA has had this anti-discriminating stance for awhile and international games have been suspended and abandoned for using ANY hate speech. Racist chants, homophobic chants, whatever. If it's meant to distract the other team or get in their head then USE A DIFFERENT WORD. Most to all of the GKs don't even know what they are chanting and just hear noise, for all they care the crowd could be chanting lechuga. Mexican fans are doing this for the reaction now

I've seen people say Killer Queen is steeply priced... It's a 10-player arcade game that consists of two separate 5 player arcade cabinets! At $15k that's $7.5k per 5 player cabinet. The cost is actually cheaper than most other arcade cabinets out there.

- A 4 player Pac-Man Battle Royale is $8k

- A 2 player Big buck Hunter is $9k

- Godzilla pinball $9k

You have to go through that website and email them asking for one. Then they will get you in contact with a "local" rep and they can help you from there

That exact cake is a mass produced cake by food supplier Bindi. I've had it at a couple restaurants and after asking about it and not getting anywhere recipe-wise I was able to locate Bindi after a long Google search (search pistachio ricotta cake Bindi). Now you can order your own like me and try and reverse engineer it 😄
