Again, no you idiot.

Sleepnotdeading

Why aping a brilliant dance piece and reskinning it is “viral” is beyond me. Have an original idea.

Sleepnotdeading

What a waste

Sleepnotdeading

Never saw it, but it also looked too expensive for what it was.

A lot of continuity issues, spatial relationship issues. And even then the story makes little-to-no sense. Kind of falls apart at the end. The jokes didn't particularly work for me.

Feels like a trailer for something that wants to be arcane.

I guess it looks nice, but it kind of just felt like an overly long trailer that didn't make me want to watch more.

Seems expensive for what it is, tbh

Honestly, I’m glad you like the game. I don’t know why it ended up on my feed, it’s never a game I’m gonna replay. So, there’s only so much critique I can give it. For me it started bad and got worse, but I did see the credits roll, so I feel I’ve earned my opinion.

Decent game, terrible writing. 🤷‍♂️

Sleepnotdeading

No, I’m not implicitly stating anything. I am refuting the claim that “if you get [AI] to produce a best-selling book that was all you.”

Sleepnotdeading

Please don’t misquote me in the same sentence you’re talking about the burden of proof.

Sleepnotdeading

Dude, that’s a dumb standard for choosing how to decide whether something is right or bs. But I’ll get right on it, hold your breath.

Sleepnotdeading

That's a pretty glaring false equivalence, since a calculator can't produce formulas. A calculator uses deterministic logic circuits. An LLM uses pattern matching and token prediction based on being trained on the whole of human literature. They are not remotely the same, they don't work in remotely the same way.

Copyright has nothing to do with this, neither does legality or liability. But since you brought it up, you CAN attribute something to an AI barfing it up... you just can't copyright that thing, because it's authorship wasn't human driven.

"Hitting the button" is all you did, and it doesn't mean anything.

Sleepnotdeading

…by your own definition if you set an AI’s temp to zero it will deterministically barf up something from its training data that is not “all you” at all.

If you can just “get it to produce a best selling book” it’s because it was trained on every best selling book ever.

I work in game dev and we use parsec for remote desktop connection because it has the least latency.

Honest question: Why would you want actual feedback on something you didn't actually make?

Sleepnotdeading

Speaking as a millennial…. Absolutely terrible.

Sleepnotdeading

Why do people upvote this stuff?

Sleepnotdeading

I think game reviewers should review the game, not beat up on the game because of their baggage with the developer or the continuation of the franchise.

Sleepnotdeading

Aw cool. Enjoy killing the narrative adventure genre.

Sleepnotdeading

“Criminally little attention” in a game you’ve seen 20 minutes of. 👎

Sleepnotdeading

FWIW I have never seen a culture of victimhood more entrenched than in this sub. I don't know why it keeps coming up in my feed, but please grow up.

Sincerely,
Someone who uses AI all over the place, but recognizes that cultures need time to adjust.

P.S. Stop whining.

Sleepnotdeading

Why not post in AI Art or any of the numerous subreddits dedicated to AI? It’s not unreasonable for there to continue to be a distinction between AI art and human created art.

A lot of people don’t like AI and a lot more people aren’t ready to accept its continued presence in our cultures.

Most of my friends are artists and craftspeople. Most of them are against AI because it has hurt their livelihoods. I can be both thoroughly engaged in learning and using AI, while also respecting their struggle.

Sleepnotdeading

Yep… sounds like they’re the ones with the attitude problem all right 😐

Sleepnotdeading

Why is OP saying this artist is “quitting”? They’re saying they’re not posting anymore because of AI sloppy copiers. That’s not quitting, that’s just not sharing anymore.

Sleepnotdeading

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness>’. At least use the full quote, and admit your mediocrity.

Sleepnotdeading

Not an unforgivable crime, no. Just testing OP like they’re on the other side of a moral divide. The interaction is entirely civil.

You get that many people think that genAI constitutes art theft, and its existence has damaged and destroyed careers and livelihoods… right?
