It’s difficult to ignore them when there’s a large influx, which is exactly the debate here. You’re not offering a happy medium or compromise, you’re just saying “we should be able to flood the subreddit and every subreddit with the same post over and over hour after hour because I’m too lazy to use a search function and other people should just deal with it”

When the heck did we as a society become so selfish? What is so hard about seeing different perspectives?

If one pov is “stop posting it should just be one post” and the other is “all the posts should live” then a reasonable compromise is one post is selected each day to be the highlight post since Reddit doesn’t have an efficient “bumping” system to keep threads at the top over several days.

Are you disagreeing because you think your posts about the topic should always be the one selected and not someone else’s because you’re more right then they are?

Ironic calling it a message board. A message board would insist it being kept to a handful of threads too.

Surprised everyone here thinks it should look like a Twitter feed in every subreddit. Just a stream of people shouting into the ether from their soapbox instead of gathering in a handful of posts so they don’t have to copy and paste responses into every thread.

Edit to add: maybe the happy medium is every day a different post about the subject gets pinned for the day.
