Supposedly he was covering for the therapist that was on vacation. So he had time to become a billionaire with no help from his family and he also became a licensed speech therapist at the same time and also now has the time to just pick up patients, but just for one session a week. It got very contrived at the end there.

Exactly! I may have sprained my eyeballs rolling them so hard at the end of the book.

I just ignore it an move on but this was tested recently with two issues in the same book.

1 - The FMC is the guardian of her younger brother. She took guardianship when their parents died when she was only 16. This little brother has speech therapy classes every week.

2 - She's the assistant to a CEO and she arranges everything for him including sending flowers after his dates. She is completely blind sided when her CEO boss turns out to be said speech therapist who apparently disappears during the same time period, which she does not schedule any meeting for.

Luckily number 2 happened at the very end of the book or else I would have DNF it.

{Law Maker by Susie Tate}

The FMC is a teaching assistant who is awkward and avoids being noticed for reasons. The MMC is the father of one of her students who needs extra help and he hires her to tutor his son.

Golden Chains. I don't think it's been released yet.

{Taken by a Sinner by Michelle Heard}

I don't care how many rodeos happened before this. Absolutely fucking not.

{The Exception by Vi Keeland}

One of the MMC in the {Losers series by Harley Laroux} has a penile piercing. They joke about watching a video of him getting it done.

For the bot {Credence by Penelope Douglas} so we change the RH/why choose tag.

eta: Looks like people have changed the tags.

I wonder who did the mocap. They don't move like mikleeee.

Russell Williams?

{Buy Me Sir by Jade West}

From a brief encounter with the MMC, the FMC becomes obsessed with him. Starting off as a cleaner in his office building, she works her way into every aspect of his life.

{If you don't love me we both die by CM Stunich}

The FMC's family is cursed. Once their mate is made known to them, they have one year to meet and fall in love with each other or else they both die. The MMC is an extremely popular singer so this a monumental task.

For the bot {Drive by Tamara Lush}

Unless Mouse changed the name, macom_m the artist posted the concept art drawing titled, The Root of All Evil.

I believe he was campaigning to be the governor at the beginning of the book but by the end, he is the president.

{Stepbrother's Secret by Jessa Kane}

As you can see from the title, it has step siblings. And it's from Jessa Kane so you know it's a bit unhinged but it fits what you are asking for.

Instead of being bitter about the student surpassing the teacher, take pride in your teaching skills.

I am loving the bgm.

{The Hermit by Michelle Heard}

The MMC has the FMC's bite tattooed on him.

This reminds me of the Fred and Rose West house. Horrific.

I love this scene.

So maybe it's not the best time to tell you that Red Phoenix just announced that there were going to be more books with Brie in them ...
