It’s a ferrite ring. Stop expanding on this people, please. If it bugs you this much use a cordless tool.

I would think a dent meter would catch it similar to an oscilloscope, when we look at the extended graphing there isn’t anything peculiar. I’d like to think that if the power was dirty we’d see 480v loads have problems too but it seems to be solely on the control side. The plant has a UPS for the computers and an alarm system on the control power that notified them if they lose power. Neither things have ever been used outside of a scheduled shutdown from the poco. It’s obsessively maintained for an industrial site.

So to expand on this, their entire program had to be pulled and redownloaded to eliminate the craziest shit happening. It’s in the thumb of michigan, extremely rural. We do have a normal service, it’s not corner grounded delta. Clean power, we’ve monitored it with a DENT meter countless times. But these mother fucking proxes ONLY on the silos just go nuts, there are other proxes in the plant that do not do this as much. I’m about to consult a priest and see if a possession has taken place here.

Smooth_Mark_531

To expand on this, myself and the other contractor have bench tested allen bradley and telemechanique proxes with their control power and get 115 volts on the signal wire using both brands. Obviously a relay has enough resistance to draw it down but we’re wondering why this particular 120v control power source bleeds through so bad. Grounding, bonding and everything else has been extensively gone through. I did not build the plant, but I am at a loss as to why this keeps happening.

Take that back you rascal

Smooth_Mark_531

Home depot or any big box store basically competes, or beats, any supply house on prices for residential wire. Don’t ask an electrician lol.

Smooth_Mark_531

Your friend might suck but being on a waitlist to work is gay as fuck, find a niche in the electrical trade and specialize in something the union doesn’t do. Be a jack of all trades in this field. “Inside wireman” means you’re gonna bend pipe and pull MC the rest of your life, you might put a few big services in, maybe even be a foreman. Fuck that, explore the trade, get good at something no one else can do and roll with it, there’s no waitlist if you can do it and nobody else can.

Smooth_Mark_531

A classic

Smooth_Mark_531

Neither get the knipex strippers

Smooth_Mark_531

You know, I’ve been a foreman for a while and I’ve presented this question to multiple groups of apprentices. My only requirement is that we gang up and strip it to really capitalize on it, the last three times I’ve had excess copper not a single kid but the one I worked with jumped on the opportunity. Me and him pocketed $2500-$3500 each time splitting it after we stripped it. Seems weird to me that the young guys are turning down free money now.

Smooth_Mark_531

Honestly it depends on what kind of electrical work you want to go in to. The trade is broad and certain types of work make more money than others. A shift electrician in any kind of factory is not going to make much unless it’s the auto industry. Guys that strictly do construction work in a commercial setting can do pretty well if they have some ambition. The residential side fluctuates with the market and demand, the most money can be made on the industrial side.

Or luis, him being a sober preachy gaywad is definitely not real ass. I am not against sobriety or self improvement, making it your personality and talking about the good old days of being edgy repeatedly is gay.

Chris Faga, that dude is a fagat

Smooth_Mark_531

I can see why you were addicted to something, gotta blur that mirror

Smooth_Mark_531

Props on the hooded merganser, takes a true waterfowler to appreciate the humor and beauty of those birds

Smooth_Mark_531

This is true, but I’d think you’d be hard pressed to find a local inspector to enforce it, I’ve had one state inspector call me on it a few years ago and he let it slide because the amount of times we had to change over from VNTC to pipe to sealtite at this plant was insane.

Smooth_Mark_531

Yeah mine was pretty sudden, had on and off vague symptoms over the last 6 months or so. Went to an ultrasound a week ago, the surgeon said skip the HIDA and go right to removal. How did you do with eating after it?

Smooth_Mark_531

Okay do that lol, for what it’s worth, I’m in michigan near a big city and beef in the big stores is around 6 bucks for ground. We sell beef by the pound for 5 bucks, regardless of the cut. If you buy a quarter of a cow from us and pay processing it’s even cheaper. Got people that drive a ways to get our meat because it really does save you that much. Our animals get corn that we grow, choice proteins, and chopped hay that we grow. If you’re that lazy go on facebook marketplace and look up “freezer beef” and be amazed. Otherwise continue paying astronomical prices for shit meat and quit being amazed when you drop that much at the grocery store.

Smooth_Mark_531

What you’re showing is average quality beef in an affluent area that’s being marketed as some kind of home grown shit. If you can order it online, or it has some cliché name with an LLC after it you’re going to pay out the ass.
