I would recommend reskinning. As far as I can tell, there isn't much juice to the Pharaoh IP that you don't get by just doing an Ancient Egyptian city builder. Approaching a publisher is probably your best bet, although signing with one does run the risk of getting the game totally rethemed to something other than Egypt. Still, that's going to be a much easier way to get the game on the market if your dream isn't running a board game business-- they can hire an artist and know how to handle manufacturing and distribution and everything.

That sounds like a good idea! Best of luck with your game.

I don't get what burn is supposed to do. If you just reshuffle when your deck empties, what is the impact of moving cards from your deck to your discard? Is it just to enable cards like A24? And if burn is supposed to be a punishment, I don't think it should be one, as players who don't use all their levels are already being punished by not playing as many powerful cards.
I also wouldn't limit cards per turn to 2 unless you've tested and there are problematic strategies that play a million cards.

I would rather have it be explicit on the card.

The reception of Switch Sports Resort has definitely been good so far. I wouldn't be surprised to see the sales do well too-- Switch Sports was the 11th highest-selling game on Switch, after all.
Even considering that, I think a new Go Vacation is a long shot. But never say never!

Yup. “Do I still need to think” is definitely the better question here.

Honestly I'm picturing procedural generation (like you would see in a roguelite) that means it would be impossible to write a guide that solves the game for you. If the available upgrades are different for every player and for every prestige you actually have to strategize each time.

As someone who hasn't played Lootun, what does semi-idle mean? Having idle and active playstyles? Idle but with frequent checkins? You keep the game open but don't interact with it much?

The trick to making tanks effective is to make them essentially control builds. However your game works, the tank needs to be able to manipulate the terrain, sap enemy resources, or do something more esoteric that boils down to making it impossible to hit the DPS/support characters. Once tanks can actually tank for their teammates (instead of just having HP and that's it), players who have that fantasy will gravitate to them.
Support is a little harder since IME there are fewer people whose fantasy is enabling others to do cool stuff or worse, just healing. Making it mechanically interesting helps. Making support be debuff-focused could also tap into that same control player fantasy of restricting the enemy.

The art is killer. I also love the victory screen music!

81 prestiges. Obelisk level 10. 11hr of in-game time.
SnorkaSound
I played Obelisk for a little while and it never really got interesting. Too many repetitive prestiges without meaningful progress being made. When does it get good, would you say?
leaves me snacking on rice and buttered rolls lol
