The elgato boilerplate will eventually make its way to the 2plot.dev network

The controller is the app, stream deck just a glorified limited keyboard. Plug the stream deck into your computer, i used claude cowork and just instructed it to connect into my own network and design keys that fit the tools i use, it drafted the keys with some general direction and guardrails i set for the workflows i needed and it drafted the 5x3, created the keys and i just did back and forth on the hardware and software till it worked.
Soolsily
Aye! Those are some good use cases, have me looking at my stream deck and asking why I dont have an ai credit key 😅 thanks for sharing and for a new key project.

Build your own
Soolsily
You are an idiot. Why settle for a single obs system when you can have one designed specific to your workflow that you own.

Figure ill be down voted for this prospective, i understand and agree, no one is interested ai generated slop. The post was not that, it was formatted by ai but I didn't take it for face value and adjusted the post prior to publishing it to make sure it covered the important nuances of the project and had some genuine questions from myself.
Soolsily
This post Looks formatted and eligible to me.. 🤷♂️

**The software:** heavily AI-assisted, and I'm not going to soften that. I made the architecture calls — Dash for the app layer, Postgres for scene and zone state, CDN in front of all media — and wrote the specs and component docs.Claude wrote a large share of the implementation against them. Three days is only a real number because of that.
The thing that made the output usable rather than slop is boring: I maintain 18+ open-source Python packages with a documentation site and an llms.txt at the root, so the model reads my actual component surface before it writes anything. Bad docs in, slop out. That's most of the story.
**AI inside the product:** yes, and it's a headline feature, so tag it accordingly. The "director" is computer-vision subject tracking on the 360 feed. Everything else — switching, viewports, light control, the Stream Deck surface — is ordinary code with no model in the loop.
**This post:** also AI-assisted. I fed my own livestream transcript in and had it help structure the writeup, then edited it. The project, the opinions and the two questions at the bottom are mine, and I can answer anything about any layer of the stack.

Sheesh YoloBix Extreme is an extreme price 😅 https://a.co/d/078weLZ0 looks like an ipad on a fastfood diet lol. Was exclusively software app based. But once I found a way to hit the camera with software and control its motors it was game over. Its given me a reason to learn hardware lol
Built on local host so other than time it's a $0 custom app controller vs a $2-3k hardware solution.

Uncle Sam fixing to hit us with that digital ID required.. but yeah. Thats the gist

I had built this project out in 3 days when Fable 5 was available.

The issue isn't a standard one off request `Build me a biological weapon`, the issue is the capabilities to build all the individual components are broadly unlocked and available and absolute with Fable 5 / Mythos. You isolate out none violation requests into useful components, then you combine those useful components into a bomb.
I have no practical biology experience, for me it was just a low level experiment trying to push into a field that should have been blocked off, yet through my components and the way i built out the simulation, I was able to get impressively further than i thought would be possible.
Theirs many practical utility, the individual components I've built to get to this point have hundreds of thousands of downloads and are used in enterprise, commercial and none-profit works. Exploring / pushing the bounds of whats possible allows the opportunity to solve and build new innovations.
Yes, I agree. This app is no biological weapon, but it is Interesting and it offers some insight into the over arching guard rales of fable, and how far one can get in 3 days in a specific category, which was the petri dish project.

Totally understand, I create free tutorials when I can like this: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLujL1ApTlqCm7ErnaYf_B59sKwllhMp2B&si=qZDbkrV-FO8o3SdW
And I'm also an avid contributor to open source and have built ~25 custom components: https://pip-install-python.com
These are the best free resources I could offer a student trying to learn and get into the software dev industry, its a long road but its a worthwhile career imo
Best of luck on your software dev journey

Currently have a tutorial for building out Point of Sale systems at http://plotly.pro i might also break this project down into tutorials. But it would be awhile

I use django ninja and genuinely enjoy it.

Move down to the coast, get a sailboat & live at the harbor for $200 a month. Find one with a shower & laundry and a decent town. Get a bike and work your way up.
That's my best advice

Dash Excalidraw - A Freeform Drawing and Notebook Component for Dash
Dash Charty - A Charting Library for Dash
Dash Credit Cards - A Credit Card Component for Dash
Read about the components and look through the documentation:https://pip-install-python.com
With this I wanted to share with those interested on some of the tips and tricks I wish I had when embarking on this journey, to hopefully help more developers create amazing packages for this Plotly community. So I created this video tutorial ~ 50min long to showcase how to build a component from scratch. While explaining the overall architecture involved in the process.
With this I’m happy to announce a new component to the dash library pip install dash-excalidraw - Notebook, Freeform, Drawing type of component.
Features The Excalidraw editor (pip dash package) supports:
- Free & open-source.
- Infinite, canvas-based whiteboard.
- Hand-drawn like style.
- Dark mode.
- Customizable.
- Image support.
- Shape libraries support.
- Localization (i18n) support.
- Export to PNG, SVG & clipboard.
- Open format - export drawings as an .excalidraw json file.
- Wide range of tools - rectangle, circle, diamond, arrow, line, free-draw, eraser…
- Arrow-binding & labeled arrows.
- Undo / Redo.
- Zoom and panning support.
- +Many more…
Test this new component out live:https//dash.geomapindex.com/freeform

I did this with socketio and flask, assume you could use django-plotly-dash or go about a route using a django based socketio.

This allowed me to create a message room for graphs, text and code

Thanks for the feedback 😅 , I'm not using geodjango or postgis. Mainly just a model, django filer, and a ninja api.
This project will extend past just a geo gusser game. Have a post endpoint setup and am working on connecting the UI to support it.. but users will be able to make their own geo gusser games with their own panorama images.
Outside of that, I'm able to support video panoramas, single panoramas, and tour panoramas with hotspots. So, users will be able to create galleries outside of just building a game.
A more dynamic UI and panoramas outside of Google maps is what's different at the moment between my project and geogussr.
Also, your feedback on the blog makes sense, in some apps like discord for example if you pasted that code that was copied when clicking on the qr code, it would display as an image and the link at the bottom or scanning the qr code will bring up the blog page.. but this is one of those features that is cooler in theory than in actual practice.

This one kinda blew my mind:

https://pip-install-python.com/pip/dash_pannellum
I don't have a VR headset but I think this component might work with VR, if you have a VR headset could you open up this url and test some of the examples and let me know if it works in VR?
Soolsily
I built out a component for panorama viewing which can be found here:
https://pip-install-python.com/pip/dash_pannellum
I designed a game around that component and leaflet. When you initially load up the game it will show you a 360 panorama location, in the bottom right corner there is a map. When you hover over the map it enlarges, you zoom into the map to find where you think the panorama image was taken, click on the marker button and click to map to lock in your result. You click submit guess and it will show you where you guessed and how far you were from the actual location. The distance in miles gets added to your score. Once the game finishes it tallies up all the distance differences between location guessed and actual location and that's your final score and the game ends.
currently working on scaling this further, should have an API setup to host the images and allow users to create their own 360 panorama geo guess game along with setting up a high score for each game

I run an osrs one prompt challenge within my development setup each time a model releases.
You check out my fable build vs the opus build, its amazing how close we actually are to being able to one shot build me an osrs. Opus got pretty close to being able to build a 1 for 1 tutorial island experience.. felt more like runescape classic thought lol
https://youtu.be/jmzhZHnSm3I
This stupid osrs iron man game - botting built me a career in software and tbh I attribute most of my success to playing runescape as a kid and throughout life.
