Living in Garland, the post office sucks. I sent something out last year in an envelope and it arrived… 3 months later. Have another one I sent that same day that hasn’t arrived yet. And I’d give up on it except about two years ago I sent a Christmas card out at Christmas and it arrived… in September. At my apartment mailbox, whoever sorts the mail or the mailman who delivers it, can’t read. 1-2x per week I get another person’s toll bills from other states. Sometimes the apartment number is the same and sometimes it’s not. But the actual street address is always different. A couple times the mailing address is for a complex down the street! I just feel like he just throws it wherever…

There are some departments who keep their ARFF trucks at normal fire stations and not on airport grounds. I also saw a fire department who purchased an older ARFF truck and used it to put out tractor trailer fires and that sort of thing.

My Jeep is paid off and has been for almost two years. It’s almost 10 years old (I bought it used). My goal is to keep it at least another 3-4 years or longer and take the money I was paying to save up for my next vehicle. Haven’t done as well on that savings part, but I’m trying. I was paying $380/month.

I don’t think many teams travel by train anymore. I kinda think I’ve heard of like the Cardinals traveling by train if they play in say Philly and then DC, or that sort of thing. They all do charter flights quite a bit in MLB. The Patriots have their planes (I believe they own two). Feel like there might be a couple of other teams that have their own as well, but not sure. Most just book private charters.

A lot of it is “security theater.” It’s possible they have some real authority and responsibility, but some of them also just drive cars that look like police cars so people think they’re the police. Not so much around my current apartment complex, but at my previous one they had POLICE written real big on their cars and they looked just like police cars. But then in small letters it said “private security” or something like that.

Reach out to another school district administrator and work towards solutions that make you appear helpful. If it continues to be a problem, take it to a school board meeting and address it there. If you still can’t reach a solution, then let the lawyers do the talking for you!

They can do it sooner. They just have to do it. Maybe not instantaneously, but expedited.
