This. I have been getting by on a 200$ years old Polk subwoofer for years. I turned it down a lot because I dont consider myself a basshead.
I found 2 SVS PB2000 for sale on marketplace and finally bought them. All the sudden I can comfortably get close to reference levels without covering my ears. The bass happens..and then it doesnt ..instead of resonating and sounding like sh*t. It just fixed my entire (off balance apparently) setup. It sucks they are expensive but they are a must in my opinion...after my experience i would rate subs #1..maybe #2 in importance.

Do you have any SD card in the slot? It kept failing my cloud recovery when I did. Try taking it out if so. No idea why
Speck311
Agree. I have the Epson and it does not look anywhere near that bad.
Speck311
I've never seen the pet owner win yet. Have you?
Speck311
Pull out any SD cards etc before the cloud recovery. For some reason it crashes it
Speck311
Well said. I also feel like supporting a huge step in iGPU tech is good. I've been waiting 5 years for a worthwhile dedicated GPU upgrade for my home PC and got tired of it. This tech gets me excited if it signals the end coming for Nvidia GPUs and their less and less performance while charging higher and higher prices.
Speck311
I agree it's the only thing that makes sense. I jumped on the 32GB z13 or I would still be waiting. Nvidia has already exhausted all of my patience when it comes to waiting for PC shit.
Speck311
Make sure if you have an SD card take it out before cloud recovery. Took me like a week to figure that one out.
Speck311
For future reference this was my problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/ROGAlly/s/x5zREYFkSn
As soon as I pulled the SD card out ...cloud recovery had no issue.
Speck311
Ok thank you
Speck311
Ok thank you. I went to bed at a blue screen and woke up to a blue screen but I will give it another go.
Speck311
Good to know ty. I also bought the crucial 2tb. I'm having trouble getting through the whole cloud recovery though so far.
Speck311
I bought the crucial p310 but I can't seem to get through the cloud recovery. I put the drive in an external enclosure and it seems fine. If I can't get it I will have to try cloning the original one.
Also it looks like that little space for the SSD could be a heat trap. Anyone thought of using thermal strips or a heat sink to make it contact the frame?
Speck311
I was going to put some in the SSD hole it looks like a heat trap. Is there any reason not to?
Speck311
I can't get the thing through a full cloud recovery or usb windows install. Did you have any trouble?
Keep getting blue screens or blacked out I'm guessing 3/4 through
Speck311
I think it only happens on battery power. Only time it happens to me so far.

I'm not super familiar with the g16 but I got my z13 about 2 weeks ago. I have never liked a laptop I bought until now. I can carry it around the house watching whatever like a tablet. I can plug it into my home theater for plex usage or to play music/ retro emulators with the hdmi port without a lot of complications (once setup)
The portability and the ports along with the usage I get without plugging in are the biggest deal to me. I have a legion go as well but the z13 is massively better. I think if you don't mind plugging in or don't care about being "on the go" with the PC a regular laptop would be fine. I was very tempted to get one of last years laptops ..they have/had some great price drops. I use it so much on battery though I think it was definitely the right pick for me.
Speck311
I did B H too because i think there's going to be a lot of difficulty getting one. I've had enough of BestBuy etc frustration from GPUs

I had to bring a PX13 i believe it was about 3 times. It would reboot randomly. The First time they said it was fixed but it came back worse. The 2nd time they actually sent it to a repair center and it was gone maybe 2 weeks. I think they replaced the motherboard. When it got back the touch screen no longer worked. So the 3rd time I brought it back ..to their credit they refunded me the full purchase price (store credit or offered replacement) All in all was roughly a month long process on a laptop about 4 months old...and I had not purchased the protection plan. They upheld Asus warranty essentially.
Even though the repair obviously doesn't go well they backed the warranty in the end and if they ever actually had stock of things I wanted I would be there a lot more often to buy stuff. That was my experience in the Chicago area.
Speck311
Oh i think there's some BS involved. It's amazing how many low droprate 6% items i get 4 times in a row when I am trying for the easy drop. I'm pretty sure they screw with you if you use the in-game item locator or whatever you would call it.
Speck311
There are some videos on youtube on how to remove the whole matte coating layer as a last resort
Speck311
Nice work!
Speck311
I hope they take you seriously. They are down to 20kish players if you watch Steam charts and dropping fast.
I thought the same and I put some support purchases in but HATE the terrible value and won't spend any more until they team up with the rest of reality.

You can get a free android app that makes your phone into a TouchPad and keyboard if you don't want to carry more stuff. I think it was just called "bluetooth keyboard"
It looks nice so far .. not low budget. You should have a look at my unfinished basement theater and you will feel better 🙂
