Honestly I’d say go back to the original 2005 system for hero health if you aren’t consistently scoring points you slowly lose health or maybe your maximum stamina is reduced if you don’t want to do the health thing.

Of the options presented the yacht of all the ships in Star Wars however I’d go for the HWK - 1000 light freighter it’s got ample size, enough space for a decent weapons system it’s large enough to be comfortably and allow for more niche or special modifications like stealth systems or upgraded hyperdrives.

I haven’t gotten too creative with my redesigns I’ve kept everything rather traditional.

Elves in my war are straight up superhuman they’re just better, stronger, faster. They don’t experience time in the same way as everyone else so they have slight precognition and can see the past as well sort of like a Jedi.

Satyr/fauns are cannibal tree dwelling people who after the claimant war was forced into nomadic wandering and when they eat a thinking mortal being they gain its memories. So they are expected to eat their parents at their funerals so as to carry the legacy of their ancestors into the future.

And dwarves have a natural intuitive sense of cardinal direction which make them great navigators so they are primarily sailors but the underground has vast underground seas so they get to be underground and sail.

Orcs and harpies were created during the claimant war by the satyr to help defend their lands from the invading humans. They took captured humans and bound nature spirits to their bodies and minds and then set them loose as shock troops and scouts. Harpies are feathered human shaped creatures with wings and orcs are the classic tall and strong orc.

I haven’t really branched out that much in my world since it’s supposed to be a dark fantasy novel similar to the black company but I’ve twisted the basic idea a little to make it work.

Honestly after having actually played the recent James Bond game it would be awesome and absolutely fitting for a narrative that isn’t so large in scale as the first 3 mass effect games when your not fighting giant squid space robots and are just fighting dudes it would be cool and biotics/tech powers would afford for a lot of cool variation.

So my main character Rhaegar is blind due to a magical experiment going wrong when he was a child however due to being an elf and being already magically inclined and having senses much stronger than a normal human the rest of his senses have effectively fused together.

So while he cannot see the colour yellow he can smell it and because he can smell it he also knows what it tastes like and what it feels like and he can use it to feel vibrations and in a way sort of echolocate very much like daredevil. The way he ‘sees’ is a very surrealist impressionist painting sorta way his inner world is basically painted in water colour.

Beyond this he’s not particularly magical he’s just a mercenary. Later he may pick up a few magical tricks here and there but he’s mostly just a very good fighter who sees the world in a strange way.

Just do it then like no vegan but the most unhinged and annoying will care if you eat some meat but cut out others it’s the effort that matters if you make an attempt that’s good enough for most but the most militant of vegans.

I don’t eat beef but I still eat chicken and bacon and other things as long as you try to ethically source your food as best you can for your circumstances that’s okay.

If iirc it was their marriage customs as a whole that caused the faith militant uprising both the polygamy and the incest which is why they gave one of them up under jaehaerys to ensure peace. But they clearly gave up the wrong one. As I believe aegon and his sisters were married before the conquest began I think it was maegors serial marriages that exacerbated that but I don’t remember the root cause during aenys reign.

I don’t think raymun is unjustified in his hatred but most of what he says just isn’t really true?

Historically the targaryens are indeed quite incestous however he lives at quite possibly the least incestous period of the Targaryens dynasty ever.

Aliens is also not really right the Targaryens had been on dragonstone for over 100 years before the conquest began realistically they have just as much right to be there as the andals.

The Targaryens assimilated to westerosi culture very well like way more than they realistically should have but they dropped more or less everything about their original culture shy of the language and the blood purity but even that died out when they lost their dragons.

And while the Targaryens indeed have dragged the people of Westeros into their civil wars with the Blackfyre rebellion and the dance that’s really no less than the kings of the first men did for thousands of years? So it’s kind of a moot point honestly

Calling them the weakest splat is insane with the players guide offering a build your own apocalyptic form and the ability to freely use all but the most powerful abilities of the lores for no cost they are consistently more capable than most splats especially since demons are so difficult to actually kill since they can just go get a new body. Are they going to perform as well as a werewolf in combat no not unless properly specced and specialised but they have an unmatched flexibility and can freely use their powers in a way that really no other splat can.

Yeah throne of glass is questionable I did actually enjoy the prequel novel for it but throne is just dreadful to get through.

I’m with you honestly I find the leviathans to be fascinating and while it does ruin the lovecraftian mystique of the reapers I never really felt like they had that much anyway? Like even to 12 year old me sovereigns whole you exist because we allow it and will end because we demand it shtick just felt like grandstanding considering we were beating his ass for the entire game and then kicked the reapers in the teeth again in me2.

Honestly you probably don’t even have to scrap the collectors just make them also hunt the leviathans and you’ve got to get there first

My current dnd character actually is probably my favourite. Mordreth karros Von carstien is a 753 year old elven wizard who grew up as a noble his family being very talented and exceedingly eccentric wizards and sorcerers. He was the youngest of 5 brothers tied with his twin Logain. Being the youngest of 5 brothers he was politically useless so he signed up for college and the military being a soldier and scholar for much of his life waging war in the isles of the Dragonborn where he lost his twin brother Logain and met his later to be brother in law adelvise. After the war against the Dragonborn he retired from military life and became a scholar full time where he met his wife and settled down.

During this time he murdered his own father who was physically abusive to his sister because she was a tiefling and he was a fae facist. He was married for 12 years give or take until his older brothers conspired to cut him out of the family tree and so they murdered his wife and unborn child and trapped her soul in a jar. He decided fuck it we ball and became a lich and a necromancer to free his wife’s trapped soul and murder his brothers.

I’d recommend a fighter particularly a dual weapon fighter add in really any archetype you like I’m currently in a free archetype game and have taken both champion and bard. But take double slice, agile grace and two weapon flurry and if you have a way to haste yourself or a quick strike weapon you can dump out 5 attacks in a round two of which are at -0 the later three are at -6 which is really good odds for a fighter just make sure to grab a decent agile weapon and your golden.

My interpretation is much the same I always assumed it was the torment and the disconnected nature of the reliquary that caused the warping that most fallen are unique in that way because of the human host since the game as a whole makes a big thing of the human element especially in the players guide.

I’ve always been under the impression that demons just don’t really get together in the same way as vampires or werewolves since they compete for faith and followers they feel much more solitary and territorial especially since they can easily survive on their own since demons are ludicrously powerful that being said I think conclave is good, court could also work given the infernal courts and the hierarchical nature of demon kind, flock could work given the obvious Christian nature of the whole game.

The entire course of Westeros history changes dramatically.

Alicent high tower remarries, rhaenyra flees to essos at the dance of dragons end, the dragons don’t go extinct and a hidden bastard line seizes the throne of Westeros over the targaryens before the lines are merged oh and heleana is both a dragon dreamer and a skinchanger.

So Westeros changes a lot but honestly probably for the best.

I’m a chaos player so it would be a night lords champion pack with some custom additions less flayed skin and more xeno hide and furs. a white lion head shoulder piece, a feather cloak and a winged lion skull helmet sort of like a wolf priest helmet. There would also be a few bone plated bits and pieces particularly a breastplate and vambraces.

A special shield emblazoned with an alpha legion hydra since the warband does a lot of scavenging and inter legion cooperation so a large round shield with a hydra on it and a power sword skin with a wolf head pommel and an inscription along the blade that was struck out when it was claimed by the warband.

I’d say make Griffith a tzeentch aligned member of the emperors children

Permanence you took a specific amount of material components based on the level of the spell and you made its effects permanent whether it was mage armor, haste, see invisibility whatever it was awesome and I miss it greatly.

I’d make an offshoot of the baali who forced their demonic overlord into a reliquary and who regularly bind demons and turn them into essentially magical batteries with all the benefits of demonic power but none of the draw backs though if they fuck up the binding process or even make the slightest slip the game is over. And they do so constantly binding demons for specific purposes and situations.

I like the idea of them being almost entirely solitary they find a potential embrace someone with an interest in the occult, a thirst for knowledge and an unbreakable will sort of a middle ground between lasombra and tremere as they have lasombra roots and that clan culture follows through heavily. Once they find their embrace they do the good ole fashioned corpse pit give them the choice of embrace or death and once they become a cainite they leave them to their own devices to sink or swim.

They are innately immune to fire but their clan bane is much like the normal baali bane but in reverse rather than holy iconography and consecrated ground they’re weak to occult symbology and desecrated grounds like ancient battlefields or the sites of massacres. They also as a rite of passage into a larger coven bind a demon to their own bodies using their corpses as a prison to constantly siphon occult power with the slightest fuck up or doubt or waver of will resulting in your condemnation to the pits of hell and the demon taking your body for its own.

Baali are my favourite bloodline of all time and I’d just like more stuff related to them especially since I love demons and demon the fallen so much.

The thing is while tarot itself isn’t a common motif in cyberpunk mysticism as a whole is especially in 2020 it’s a lot more subtle and less overt with the various fringe religions, cults and especially the anti cyberware monks there’s even an inquisitor gang. Misty ties into that in a much more mainstream sense as to allow easier and more personal onboarding for common audiences and that’s fine. I think the more mystical and unexplainable aspects of cyberpunk like the nature of AI or vampires are really cool and I want more like it.

The only religion I’ve actually had good experiences with is Catholicism. My ex was Catholic and her priest was a really nice guy who helped me deal with her death so I’d honestly probably go Catholic.
