i got accepted into ucla as a ds and im taking linear and another english class to fulfill uc-e in the spring semester. it shouldn't be too big of a deal, that B in calc 2 shouldn't be a huge dealbreaker as long as you do good in calc 3 and keep the overall gpa up. i'm not sure about the stats course though as i took ap stats but the rest i'm sure you can still make a strong application. good luck !
SquareNo654
yeah he jogged out the box LMAO
SquareNo654
that was a good pitch by walker though on a 0-2 count. just a bloop single that found a gap...
SquareNo654
yeah and then the hit lol. i eat my words
SquareNo654
ok nvm
SquareNo654
none of this inning was his fault though
SquareNo654
you're a genius

Rice looks to be a lot better. JuCO players like Smith play in poor competition levels, so their ratings could be inflated in relation to their actual talent. He's already fragile too, with borderline eye and power potentials that could disappear pretty quickly. Rice has a 5 pitch mix, and he's a groundball pitcher with good traits. The only downside I see with Rice is his stamina; 55 seems a little low for a developing pitcher, but hopefully it won't drop too much.

Where'd you get 4-5 years ago lol, his best season was 2 years ago, and got injured the following year but still produced a near 3 WAR season. It's a 1 year deal, and at best he'll be back to form as a 4-5 WAR player while at worst he's gone in one year.

bit late but you can go into financials and change the average salaries of superstar and star players to something lower. at the start of saves it might be around 26-28m iirc but you can bring it down to like 22-23m, same thing for star players.

Keep the rookie in triple A in one more season, toss him in the dev lab for defense first and then power. Keep the guy with really good defense as a utility; his bat is far below average and your current SS is already a plus defender with a good bat. Keep the rule 5 as a utility as well; that way you have two really good MIs as your backups and you put the rookie at second base hopefully next season when he reaches his potential.
The other alternative would be moving your current SS to second and putting that really good defender as your SS, but then you'd have no space for your rookie when you call him up, and that really good defender sucks at offense tbh thats like a black hole for hitting. Your current SS will produce the same, if not better WAR than that good defender, so you can just toss him in as a utility.

Did you start your save at the beginning of the 2025 season? If so, then the ratings would not be updated. I started a live save at the end of the season and Miz was a 55 overall and Kurtz is an 80. The prospect ratings shouldn't be that far off for most prospects currently. Especially for the top prospects.
SquareNo654
True, but you can't have them all I guess

Kind of late, but as a Korean and from what I've seen in the KBO, most people find the 147-154 km/h (91-95 mph) threshold fast for most types of pitchers. KBO pitching coaches and managers have previously adapted a system where pitchers relied on command and offspeed pitches rather than pure velocity, so there weren't that many fireballers who could throw in the mid to upper 90s. There seems to be a resurgence in fastball velocity in young Korean pitchers nowadays, and hopefully we can see more fireballers topping out in those nice upper 90s, albeit with not too many injuries.

I feel like the Orioles always do that in every save in the late 2020s, they just pop off for 105 wins for 3 seasons straight.

It's difficult to find retired pitchers whose skills still match even those of current benchwarmers. Just because these players ride the bench doesn’t mean they’re unskilled; they’re still in peak condition for their age
SquareNo654
Coors Field is going to turn this man into prime Barry Bonds
SquareNo654
Pretty sure Choo is retired, no longer active in the KBO.
SquareNo654
And because there are more than 200 jobs on the line with every loss.
SquareNo654
No lol, just because you show up to practice doesn't guarantee your spot in a game. Every player goes to practice. Manager kim only puts out his players in games where he has confidence that the player can effectively limit base runners while being able to handle high-leverage situations. Mechanically speaking, some pitchers, if their form breaks down a little bit, are unable to throw strikes properly. Manager kim's goal is to fix those problems before they are deemed fit to come into a game as a reliever or starter. Especially because there are 200 jobs on the line every game, you have to be confident as a manager that the player you're sending out can shut down the opposing team.
SquareNo654
The team is holding mini-tryouts, but all the applicants so far have failed. It seems as though they are searching for a backup 3rd baseman, but haven't found one yet.
SquareNo654
It's like what Manager Kim said in Kim Seong Geun's Winter Vacation
"Opportunity will come to those who are ready"
Also more pitchers = increased risk of injury, why even risk such a thing for the sake of entertainment?
SquareNo654
He got injured right before the playoffs. Huge bummer
i got in! 4.0 with no TAP, got rejected by berkeley though lol
