Not that I’m aware of a specific issue with doing so, just curious if the issue persists when running the game with all of the files stored locally on your PC.

I was basing the 8x on the fact that you can produce 8 wines in the same amount of time with a keg. To make casks “competitive” with kegs they needed to at LEAST equate to this same value over the same time in my mind.

But maybe you’re right. The fact they don’t take any more resources probably makes this far too strong. I can’t say where the balance is exactly, just that where it is now feels far too low.

My issue tends to be less about directors respecting source material and more about being of the belief that games are the best ways to tell or experience these stories. Do we really need some guy’s on-rails interpretation of a world we’ve all lived in for hundreds of hours?

I’m still going to watch it, but I’m going in expecting to leave with “why did they bother when you can just play the game” like so many other times before it. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Incentivise aged wine. Not only can you ONLY use the casks in the cellar of your house, you wait 56 days for it to be worth a mere 2x the amount.

Let’s say you replace all your casks with kegs. Now each tile is worth eight wine every 56 days instead of one (remember, you had to make one elsewhere first in order for the cask to “turn it into two”). The only downside is consuming more fruit to make wine.

I think silver quality wine should be 2x the value, gold quality should be 4x, and iridium wine should be 8x. AT MINIMUM. This still translates to the same amount as just making more wine though.

Your point would be a lot more relevant if a large and growing number of restaurants DID put rat droppings in their food. In your example it’s ridiculous because not having rat droppings in your food is normal. That doesn’t really translate here.

The anti-AI stance only became necessary because of the absolutely batshit prevalence of AI generated content in every single creative avenue on the planet.

I know most people don’t seem to care. But some of us are drowning, and a message like this is something of a beacon: “Hey, you! Tired of the AI hellscape that is being forced upon you while ex crypto-bros reassure you it’s the future whether you want it or not? So are we! I can totally see how it could be interpreted as unnecessary virtue signalling but I don’t think that must be the case just because it can fit.

I really hope you continue with this. It’s not just a gimmick, it’s a pretty unique art direction and I’d love to see what people do with it.
