Sub_Omen

Thank you 🥹

Sub_Omen

Lmaooooo that's why I did a faith/strength build for my first playthrough 😅

Sub_Omen

But my L1 security blanket :c

Sub_Omen

Haha this is why I always try to significantly level up stamina, this is a newer character though.

Sub_Omen

Oh man I love parrying the bell bearing hunter!!

Sub_Omen

It is the way! I got my ass kicked by these guys so many times until I got the parry down for them!

Sub_Omen

Absolutely 100%! I don't know how to describe it and this going to sound weird, but it feels like when you drive stick shift and become super optimal and stuff haha.

Sub_Omen

Oh that's a good question, I'm honestly not sure! I think carian retaliation is probably better.

Sub_Omen

I prefer the parry because it has a reward attached! High risk high reward make brain go 🙂

Sub_Omen

You cannot parry the tail. At least I don't think so.

Sub_Omen

Yup!! It really is the trick to these guys!

Sub_Omen

My understanding is that carian retaliation ash has even more forgiving recovery frame and you can use it on most small and medium shields. Both seem to be very good tbh!

Sub_Omen

It was so hard until I got that down! It brings me back to a DS3 battle, Pontiff Sulyvahn, where it was really tough until you figure out the timing for parries and then you can trivialize the battle!

Sub_Omen

L2 with a shield that can parry, preferably a buckler shield! Also a fan of using carian retaliation on a medium shield.

Sub_Omen

Yeah but you should snort it bro

Sub_Omen

I absolutely love this weapon, but isn't its use mostly situational? Sell it to me, lol, convince me to use it because it's God damn beautiful and I love anything with an R2 poke.

Sub_Omen

I score this steak. 0/10.

Sub_Omen

In my opinion, yes, this is a spider.

Sub_Omen

This made me deep belly laugh 🤣

Sub_Omen

That's a chicken wing

Sub_Omen

ring finger

Sub_Omen

Unfortunately, I'm on PlayStation.

I feel like this could be addressed if trigger buttons could be split-assigned. Imagine if at any given time you could do L1 shield block, L2 dagger parry.

And then it could be even crazier; imagine if you could have R2 long claymore poke, R1, great axe swipe without ever having to change weapons with the D-pad. Imagine the broken ass combinations of weapons people would make by split-assigning lol.

Sub_Omen

Man, I loved that sword so much. I wish they had something similar in Elden Ring. I guess just left hand a dagger with a greatsword in the right lol.

The coolest was you could still L1 hold up defense with a shield if 1-handing the sword, but you'd still get the cool dagger parry no matter what and just switch to 2-hand when you wanted that sexy spin.

I miss it a lot.
