Does vaporized count as falling off?

It’s called the super-flip and it can be solved in no less than 20 moves, the longest possible number of moves needed to solve any scramble, also known as god’s number.

Growing up we always did trunk or treats with our church, school or other group, in addition to trick or treating in our neighborhood.
Now, in my area at least, there are a few very wealthy streets where everyone goes absolutely nuts with the decorations and gives out full size candy bars and stuff. This incentives tens of thousands of people to leave their own neighborhood and drive to one of the “hot spots”. They literally have to close the entire street and assign police officers to monitor everything. We call it destination trick or treating and it drives me nuts. This year we had a neighborhood trunk or treat so everyone is free to abscond on Halloween 😒

Jokes/memes aside, this is actually a really interesting mechanic. People naturally don’t want other people messing with their stuff, so a lot of custom designs prevent or dissuade interaction, which slows the game and makes it less interesting. This flips that (no pun intended) and bakes interactability into the card itself. There are a handful of one off cards that do this kind of thing, but it’s certainly an area that could use a lot more exploring.

The part that gets finicky to me is if something targets him that deals damage in addition to doing something else. Trying to make a conditional hexproof work would mean they can’t be targeted because part of the spell/ability causes damage. To me it makes more sense to just prevent the damage part and let non-damage effects go through. That said, deflecting damage back at its source aligns perfectly with Anakin/Vader’s Shien lightsaber form.

“As long as Darth Vader, Fallen Knight has flying, if he would be put into the graveyard from the battlefield, he loses all abilities and becomes a 0/1 legendary creature called Darth Vader, On Fire instead”
SubstantialBelly6
Hexproof applies to targeting, not damage, so “combat/noncombat damage” is irrelevant. I think making him untargetable by sources that would deal noncombat damage gets finicky, so I’d go with something along the lines of “cannot be destroyed by noncombat damage” or “if a source would deal noncombat damage to this creature, ignore that damage”.

Please don’t do this! Melatonin + caffeine does NOT cancel out. It just leads to groggy and delirious, but wired and unable to sleep.
SubstantialBelly6
Adults can. Kids generally want to be out racking up a big pile of candy.

As an American, your first example made perfect sense to be. Waiting on a another Brit to verify the second 😁

They said they aren’t that into cubing. It’s entirely possible that what they consider “randomly scrambling” isn’t actually all that random. Doing slice moves and rotating the cube between every 1-2 of them can easily lead to a situation like this. My guess is they were just absentmindedly using it as a fidget and repeatedly doing a short pattern of moves that felt random, but actually wasn’t.
Just to be clear, even with a simple, short, repeated pattern, accidentally getting to a state like OPs is still not super likely, but it’s astronomically more likely than with a true scramble. I’d definitely call this one plausible.

Ok, I’m genuinely trying SOOO hard to understand this 😂 From what I can tell from the other comments, even if black hair pots pink and then black, it’s not enough points to win, so he is intentionally trying not to pot it, hoping that red hair makes a foul, which would then give black hair enough points that potting pink then black would win. Meanwhile red hair keeps trying to position pink in such a way that black hair is forced to pot it, which he doesn’t want to do for the reasons above. What I can’t figure out is why red hair doesn’t just pot pink? Then he could just pot black and win, right?

Technically your companions are playable characters, so PC could refer to whichever one you are using at the time. Charname is used to be extra clear and unambiguous that you are referring to the character you made.

I was so confused! 😄

A nuclear explosion is an extremely high energy chain reaction. An atom gets blasted apart so violently that its parts slam into other atoms and blast them apart and those parts slam into other atoms, etc.
Atmospheric ignition was the conjecture that this chain reaction would continue beyond the atoms contained in the bomb. Since the atmosphere is made of atoms, what happens if those atoms get blasted apart too and slam into more atoms that slam into even more atoms? The entire atmosphere turns into an enormous nuclear bomb, wiping out all life and glassing the entire planet.
Thankfully, the conjecture was proven false and it is not actually a thing that happens. If it was, none of us would be here.

Protein shake in a blender bottle in the shower. Sounds weird, but it’s a great time saver as it allows me to multitask by having my breakfast while I’m doing my mandatory existential dreaditation session.

I don’t think he is holding back to be palatable. I think he is taking advantage of the longer campaign format and giving things time to simmer a bit more. D20 seasons are much shorter and he is on a time crunch. In CR on the other hand, things take as long as they take and the campaign ends when it makes sense to do so. I feel like this is the more natural Brennen, what he might be like at a home game, instead of the all out, balls to the wall, pedal to the metal Brennen that D20 forces him to be.

It is more of a “science scale” in the sense that it is exclusively used in science, whereas Celsius is a general use scale that happens to be used in more scientific areas than kelvin is.

Even worse, someone that does great at a show might be anxious at the audition, underperform and get cut

It is very specific that the right to keep and bear arms is for the express purpose of forming a well regulated militia in order to protect your state. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Doesn’t say you can keep and bear arms for funzies or just because or even for hunting or collecting or self defense. You can own a gun in order to join a militia. Any other use lands firmly outside the amendment and should not be protected.
Yes, I know that is not how it actually works and the law of the land is subject to the supreme court’s interpretation of the constitution, not the literal wording of it. So yes, right now you have the legal right to own guns for whatever reason. But people pretending that we would have to amend the constitution again in order to change anything are wrong. Any gun control/regulation laws that don’t prevent you from joining a state run well regulated militia are fair game and not unconstitutional.

If any reasonable person would have easily identified it as Monopoly money, would it just be a trade?

I don’t think you necessarily have to win in that exact number, it’s just that “I repeat it a billion times” means you are ALMOST guaranteed to win, but there is still a tiny chance you don’t, which isn’t good enough.
I have an asus handheld and it’s pretty solid. No ultra graphics or anything (I have the cheaper version), but for any PC only games it’s a nice way to at least be able to play them.
That said, I absolutely LOVE my switch lite. It’s really surprising how many good titles have been ported over. I have always been more of a console gamer than PC though.
